This place is very fancy and expensive. The service and food is good... a nice place to go for a special occasion. The portions are on the small side and all accompaniments are separate. For three people the bill was over $150.00 with no appetizer and 2 glasses of wine.

Had a business dinner here and the views alone made going here worth it. Seeing the city all lit up at night was beautiful. The food was decent, although not stellar. I had the Wahoo, with parmesan crust and it was a bit dry, although still not bad. The crab bisque soup was delicious though.

On our group's first night in Pittsburgh, we rode the incline up the mountain and had dinner at Monterrey Bay Fish Grotto. What a treat! You must try the crab cakes, and the angel food cake was the best dessert we had on the trip! The drinks were fantastic as were the entrees. Treat yourself to a wonderful evening here.

This is in a high-rise on Mount Washington which give you the best view of the city. The seafood is top notch never had a bad meal. A bit pricey but the service is good and they have valet parking.

This is a seafood restaurant. We typically go here for special occasions, as it is a bit pricey, but the food, views and service are worth it. Two years ago, my wife and I went to the restaurant for our anniversary. I had made the reservation using Opentable. When we arrived (to a full house), I learned that I had... More

Beautiful view of the city makes up for the strange decor inside. Service was great and they clearly focus on special occasions. A couple got engaged while we were there, we had a birthday and someone's anniversary was noted on my menu. It is expensive and most of the offerings are fish but they are accommodating for vegetarian and other... More

While I will have to say this place has a great view and atmosphere the food does not meet expectations. I had the Chilean sea bass and while on menu it's listed for like 34 I got the special that was 67 for some reason because of the sides. I don't know about Pittsburg but when you order the special... My husband and I went to Monterey Bay for our wedding anniversary. The view was wonderful which is why we wanted to try it. The greetings of the maitre d and manager were very welcoming. However, the waitress was disappointing. When she approached the table she did not ask us for a drink order. Instead she poured water, talked about... More

The place is beautiful. The food is okay but very expensive. What gives it one star is that one of our party got violently ill after going to the restaurant. We suspect it was food poisoning (she got the walleye). I called management to report this incident and got a less than satisfactory response. He showed zero empathy and essentially... More

This place is a must-see fine dining experience for seafood lovers. The menu features over 30 different types of fish, prepared over 100 different ways! It's very pricey, but the portions are large, and the seafood is fresh and delicious. It's located in Mt. Washington, and has a spectacular view of the city, especially at night. Service was superb; the... More
