Friendly tap room on the strip with a nice selection of beer. The owners apparently have a pickle company and you can also purchase jars of Pittsburgh Pickles here.. tasty!!

Okay, it wasn't Friday or Saturday night, which apparently can get rather loud and boisterous. It was a Sunday afternoon, the crowds were starting to pick up in the "Strip" in Pittsburgh and we needed a place to whet the whistle and hide. There it was - this little front door under the sign that said, "Beerhive." Lots of beers... More

After lunch my boyfriend and I came across the Beerhive for an afternoon drink. A wide selection of beers for sure. A very clean bar! The 2 bartenders wasn't the most welcoming but gravitated more to the "regulars". Understandable to a point. Never asked if we wanted to see a menu, no "HI", just a welcoming statement of "so what... Went on a Saturday night. Food was good, but there was a group of loud drunk old people in Steeler clothes embarrasing themselves and screaming in the small cramped bar/restraunt. I didnt finish my food because i couldnt deal with the noise level. Burger was alright, didn't give us a choice of how we wanted it cooked.. Fries were a... More

I stopped in for a beer and had lunch. The chicken fingers were better than expected. They were hand made and little breaded. Cooked fresh!!!! Great selection of beer.

Went for lunch in the strip district, went in and was greeted by a proper pub feel. Ordered been fried pickles and chicken bacon club. Everything was fresh, and very well prepared. Definitely need to go back.

The beer was cold but the server was not friendly. There was a nice upstairs that had college football games on the TV. The bathroom was clean. I might give it another try if I come back to the strip.

I went here on a Saturday, following a Friday afternoon where I had a few beers and conversed with a few locals. Not a bad place, but surly bartenders are rampant. Came Saturday to watch an Iowa football game, and was treated as if I had leprosy. If you care to go upstairs, you will find a nice bar, unattended... More

The draft list is far shorter than I would expect for a 'beerhive' and I just can't buy into the rhetoric behind their practice of serving 12 ounce pours of 'difficult to find' session-beers and IPAs at $5-$7/glass.

Good bar food. Nothing special, but low prices and decent food are all you really need for lunch in the Strip.
