Restaurant could seat our group of 13 together. Food choices were excellent. Great wine list. Service was very good but not "overbearing", helpful with choices. Noise level very comfortable for conversation.

What a lovely restaurant! My family and I went to Spoon for dinner after a very busy, stressful day. I wasn't sure I even had the energy to go out, but I'm so glad we did. Dinner was superb. The steak was particularly good. Can't wait to go back!

Spoon seems quieter, and thus friendlier to conversation, than many new restaurants. We liked the wine list and the help in selecting from it offered by the knowledgeable staff. Locally grown foods were fresh and beautifully presented.

The blue cheese souffle is TO DIE FOR. As is the hangar steak. Cocktails excellent as well. My only quibble was with the panna cotta, which had almost no taste.

We dined at Spoon this week as part of Pittsburgh's Restaurant Week. Even with the limited RW menu, we had difficulties choosing what we wanted to eat because everything sounded excellent. I had the tomato soup as an appetizer and my guest had the blue cheese soufflé. I have never tasted tomato soup so rich in my life and I... More

We went for the restaurant week special. They are renovating so there was a smell of paint. I was a little worried but once service started I didn't even notice it. The service was very attentive and the food was perfectly prepared.

While the ambience and decor of this restaurant is bordering on dismal, the service is impeccable. The short menu means that the chef has perfected those dozen or so dishes, and indeed he has. The scallops were amazing and the shellfish tagliatelle was delicious. Everyone at our table left contented.

Lovely ambience and the waiters were great! Had to wait for about 20 minutes to get a table but that's expected for this type of restaurant. Definitely would come here again but need to save up some more money haha

We went out to dinner with a friend during a recent visit to Pittsburgh, choosing Spoon at his recommendation. The restaurant was comfortable, inviting, and quiet enough to visit while enjoying our meal. I enjoyed a delicious soup and the pan-roasted halibut . My husband really liked the melon salad and the wahoo. And we both ordered (and enjoyed) a... More

Spoon was near our hotel (Indigo, which is also great), so we decided to give it a try. It had a lively energy to it, great ambience, a wonderful menu and outstanding food. The service was warm and friendly, although a bit on the slow side. It was such a great experience though, that we were not troubled by that... More
