Located in the Borough of Dormont area of Pittsburgh, the Dor-Stop was a good-stop for us. Once we heard Guy Fieri was here, we had to give it a try. Brick streets, nice sidewalks, street parking were all pluses in this refurbished neighborhood. Great local restaurant with a family feel to it. I had the Steak and Cheese Hoagie which was amazing, the bread alone was delicious. Then put the perfect mix of steak, veggies and cheese. Wow was it tasty. My wife had the Turkey Feta wrap. They feature the Turkey a lot and I can see why, it was very good. The wrap itself was thin and tasty, the sauce was really good, and even though the feta was fresh and good, there was just too much of it. We both chose the handmade chips and thought they were the highlight of the meal. Our server Lauren was very nice and very good. Maybe the only complaint would be, when they opened the front door, it got cold in there. We should have known when we saw the servers wearing coats. Wish they could put a second door out front.

Best French Toast!!

A friends recommended we try Dor-Stop and we weren't disappointed. My husband had the Guy's Way omelet and loved it. I had the raspberry french toast and I was tempted to order another because it was absolutely divine. The portions are large so expect to take home leftovers. I would also recommend arriving early or making a reservation because this is definitely the go to place to get breakfast.

OMG, do not skip going here for breakfast

If it would have been OK to lick my plate in public, I would have, Great atmosphere, friendly staff. We had the eggs benedict, pumpkin pancake's, French toast and loaded up on bacon/ All very filling. See you soon on our next visit to the are.

I came here for breakfast as an out-of-towner looking for one of the best spots to eat at. I’m from Philly, and we’re spoiled by great food. You give us something that taste bad, well... do that at your own risk. This place cooks the way a good cook would do it at home. What I like about this place, for one the great service and warm welcome. For food, we had one of the scrambles. It had ham, peppers, cheese, etc. Very flavorful, anything but boring. We also had the apple cinnamon oatmeal pancakes. OMG, that’s literally the best pancakes I think I’ve ever had. If I had better, I forgot. They put crack in the batter! It was so good, I wanted to take one to go before I even finished. I’m back home now, it’s weekend brunch, and the Dor-Stop is where I wish I was. I also see why Guy from that famous show stopped here. Great breakfast!

Good breakfast.

My family ate here for breakfast at the end of December. There was about a 20 minute wait so we waited outside in the cold until our table was ready. My advice is to put your party in online before you arrive so you don't have to wait. The raspberry french toast was outstanding! The portion size wasn't the biggest but the taste was amazing and I am glad I ordered these. The hotcakes were also amazing and I highly recommend any flavor of these. We had the banana ones and the size of these were huge! My wife had the "Guy's version" which was like a breakfast scramble. She like it but the overall winner were the hotcakes!

Nice location and good food.

The food and service is very good. I had a GIANT banana pancake it was good, sausage patties were good too. I recommend this restaurant if you're in the area. Don't go to far out of the way though. Enjoy!

Restaurant up home in Pittsburgh

If you're in the Dormont area in Pittsburgh, this is the place for breakfast or lunch. I went there with my cousin and was so pleased as the servers were fantastic, and the food was excellent. I had been there back in the 90's with my aunt and really enjoyed it then. I currently live it Florida and so enjoy the home restaurants up home in Pittsburgh.

Great food and service!

The Dor Stop has great service and everything we ordered came out fast and delicious. I really liked the Irish Eggs Benedict and my wife enjoyed both Guy's Jumbot and the German Potato Pancakes.

Apple Cinnamon pancakes for the Win!

Great breakfast place, be prepared to wait for a table depending on the day/time of day. It is quite small inside so its a little crowded but definite comfort breakfast food.

Stopped by for breakfast and were satisfied but not wowed. The server was very friendly and attentive but the pumpkin pancakes were a little dry. Prices are reasonable and the coffee was okay.

They have AMAZING pancakes. They were the best pancakes I have ever had. We were there in 2O11, I just remember the food was really good. And no one in our party got sick.

This stop is my FaVoRiTe breakfast & Lunch restuarant!!! It's so good I've actually ordered the same two meals every other day For at least 4 months The environment is so chill and welcoming The chefs are very good and extremely professional Along side their incredible breakfast menu ~☆ They have a super yummy lunch menu as well ☆☆☆They Make Their Own HoMeMaDe potatoes chips!!! Like thin sliced ~down home~ potatoes TEN STARS☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
