First visit, traveling to Pittsburgh for some sight seeing. Tough to park. Arrived at 10:50 AM, only breakfast item was an egg sandwich with minimal “fixings”. Wait staff was plentiful but pretty generic. Place was fairly empty in spite of great ratings on YELP. Eggs...came 7 minutes prior to fried potatoes. Food was ok but nothing memorable. Maybe dinner is better. We sat at the bar and behind the bar it was dirty. Surprised they pass health inspection. Wouldn’t recommend.More

Excellent, very casual, restaurant with very authentic Italian food. Our house salads were excellent as were the gnocchi with meatballs and a pasta dish (forgot the name) with a red sauce that had Italian sausage in it. We were running late, called to let them...know (yes, another accident on the parkway) but made it a minute or so before we said to expect us. We were greeted like we were regulars with a happy "Glad you made it." Good service.More

Went for Sunday brunch. Arrived around 1pm. Nice crowd but no wait for a table. Simple menu but not simple food. We had zeppole (powder sugared cake donut holes), caprese frittata and cacio di peppe with broccoli. Enjoyed everything. Also saw lots of amazing looking...french toast with berries, eggs benedict with spinach and prosciutto & breakfast pizza. The staff were all friendly and efficient. Will go back & try other meals.More

We thought we’d try a new restaurant for lunch. It was a late lunch around 2:15 pm. We were 1 of 3 customers in the restaurant when we sat down. Despite 7+ employees in visible sight not a single one greeted us, said hello or...asked to help us in anyway. The instruction on the hostess stand says to grab a menu & then walk up to the counter to place your order. We ordered 2 entrees & 2 drinks. We were served our entrees before we received our ice teas all the while all 7 employees stood around talking to themselves. I walked up to the bar & asked for a refill on the ice tea. The first ice tea was all ice and the waitress gave me a nasty look when I asked her not to add any more ice. BTW their ice tea is kept in the frig & already cold the glass didn’t need to be 90% ice. In the end the food was ok although my wife’s pasta dish was swimming in sauce. My entree was pricey for the portion size. We will NEVER return. The entire staff showed an incredible lack of any customer service skills….. all 7 that were in clear sight the entire time we were there.More

This restaurant was recommended on a Pitt parent page and it was fabulous! The unique entrees (gnocchi with pumpkin sauce served in a pumpkin or gnocchi with meatballs in a bread bowl) add a fun twist to the delicious fare. The entrees are huge! The...pasta was cooked to perfection and the red sauce tasted like my grandmother’s recipe. Reservations open 6 weeks in advance. This is a don’t miss!More

This is a casual restaurant with average Italian food. My family got the chicken cacciatora which was tasty but had a small amount of chicken. I got the cannelloni which was good. I enjoyed the red sauce. The overall impression was irritating. This is a...small restaurant with few tables. You can not hear the person next to you due to the high sound level! It ruined the whole dining experience.-More

There are tables outside under the pergola (formerly the parking lot) plus a few tables on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. Well placed and spaced for Covid! First of all, hats off to our server Mandi and all of the other workers for...allowing us to enjoy a wonderful dining experience. It was hot outside, but for us only sitting for an hour it was pleasant. For the workers who had to run back-and-forth all night, I’m sure it was more difficult. Patrons – don’t forget to tip your servers extra during these Covid times! We started off with a heirloom tomato salad and their warm fresh & crispy bread. I forgot to take a picture of the bread, but it was wonderful. All other tables around us ordered the bread after they saw ours. We then had the gnocchi with meatballs and Casio e Pepe (cheese & pepper) pasta and added sausage. Very tasty and filling. Nice drink menu. Thanks again! We made our reservations about three weeks in advance. This place fills up fast!More

The pappardelle toscane was delicious. The braised beef and pasta was so tasty and cooked perfectly. My daughters both had stuffed shells dish and they said the red sauce was divine. They wished they had bread to dip in it.

Read reviews that made this restaurant sound great. We were very underwhelmed, the salad was drenched in a salty Italian dressing that tasted like it was from an average bottle you would buy at the grocery store. Bread was soaked in oil and balsamic. The...pastas were okay but far from great. Service was spotty. The quality did not match the pricing. Unfortunately, we found that it felt more like a chain restaurant experience.More

Fresh, delicious pastas in good proportion sizes served at this quaint, clean, airy restaurant. We couldn't make our reservation time, but they were kind enough to accommodate us at their long high table. The cauliflower side and the gorgonzola pasta was amazing, and the drinks...were tasty. Servers and host were attentive. Chicken lovers beware, there was no poultry on the menu and it is a little limited.More

My husband and I went here for our anniversary. We got the bread (in oil & balsamic), cheese & meat tray, gnocchi sorrentina bread bowl and chocolate chip cheesecake and lemon cookie. Everything we had was AMAZING!!! The gnocchi was the best I ever had....It was so light and pillowy, that melted in your mouth. We will definitely be back here. Also Lee was an awesome server, very knowledgeable and attentive. We recommend 100%!More

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great. We had dinner before a production at Pittsburgh Opera which was a perfect pairing. Our waitress was knowledgeable and helped us choose two wines that complemented our dishes delightfully. Tables were socially distanced within a...fun space. Wish the restaurant was in our home town; I know we would be frequenters.More

This was my first time to Pittsburgh and everyone I talked to told me this was an amazing place to go - needless to say, I was not disappointed! Nicole was my server (first day on the job!!) and she was incredible. She was so...kind and offered great recommendations. Also special shout-out to the gentleman who rang me up for the delicious cookies I bought (Antonio.. Anthony.. I had already had a few glasses of wine when he told me his name so I’m sorry haha 😂). He gave me awesome recommendations on places to go in Pittsburgh. Overall highly recommend if you’re looking for great Italian food!More

The food is superb. The service is provided by pleasant, efficient, and knowledgeable staff. The current fusilli dish is pandemic comfort food (very sophisticated, distinctive mac n cheese, with fall butternut squash and sage breadcrumbs). And DiAnoia's has the best COVID-19 safety protocols in town,...while preserving a warm, welcoming dining experience.More

Spent about 4 hours their one night and enjoyed everything we ate & drank. One of the best whole grilled/ roasted Bronzino I've had anywhere. Cool vibe too!
