This is probably a reliable place for locals. Food was good, not great. Service was slow (we went with another table, sat at the same time, and they were done eating before we had our entrees served). Drinks were ok. Brussels sprouts were underseasoned and...More

Nothing interesting on the menu - they used to have a wonderful osso buco - but it has been long since replaced with a lamb shank. Everything else on the menu could be found at any other mid-range Italian joint in Pittsburgh (which is usually...More

We ordered the special of the day a fish dinner and one of 2 came out not totally cooked. Gelato for desert really was plain ice cream. Service was poor and slow.

Cafe Monaco is a great restaurant. They know what they are doing! Food is always good, service too, Nice atmosphere. Excellent value for your money. Try the eggplant mornay appetizer. It is delicious. Italian and American cuisine, I would say.
