We have been Dining her for over 20 years. This is not a place you got EAT. This is a Place you Goto DINE. Don't be in a rush (That is a compliment) The Service is Excellent, but make-no-mistake, that staff no that your time out is very special. If you are a hurry for any reason, Personally, I would... Our plans changed several times as we lead up to NYE. I stopped at the restaurant the morning of the 30th to see if any times were still left for NYE. I went to the kitchen door as the restaurant was not open yet. The head chef introduced himself and said they have 400 reservation for the NYE but can... More

Six of us ate and stayed in the motel last night for New Years Eve to see a show at Penn's Peak. Not one of us had any complaints about either the restaurant or the motel, and could only rave about the food. Our table ordered filet mignon which was perfectly cooked, crab au gratin which had the biggest pieces... More

I went here for a birthday dinner, first time I was ever there and it was amazing. Everything was fantastic right down to the salad! Looking forward to going back again.

Meal was great, service was great and cocktails were great. The lodge is a no frills place but it was fine for what we needed. Room was clean.

Atmosphere: quiet & very clean = 4½ Service: Very attentive, but not overbearing = 4½ Food: Nice portions, ok flavor, small menu, interesting specials = 3½ Prices: entree & dessert, fair = 4 ($2.50 for a pour soda = <1) #1 in Nesquehoning a little deceiving, they're the ONLY 'real' restaurant in town.

Our meal was very good, service warm and friendly. There has also been several occasions I have attended a baby shower, bridal shower and a funeral dinner.

Food is average for the price. Atmosphere is dense. Steaks are usually cooked a degree higher than ordered. But overall not a bad place.

We stayed one night at the Lantern Lodge, we did NOT eat in the restaurant. The clerk was friendly and efficient. Our room was small, 2 double beds. The motel is old but the room was clean and most of the rooms were filled on Friday night. The carpet was clean and relatively new. ( I have stayed in rooms... More

Tried to get a room in Jim Thorpe. This was the only lodging available. We DID NOT eat at the restaurant. The ONLY good thing that I can say about our room was that it was clean. It's proximity to the highway was probably within 100 ft of the highway and the noise from cars, trucks and motorcycles interfered with... More
