Food was tasty! (Fish Fry special, seafood sampler, fried crab cake sandwich). Service was a bit on the slow side even though they were not very busy; possibly short staffed. Overall it was very good. Actually the yummiest crab cake I'd ever had.

Beck's still remains to be one of the more popular seafood restaurants in the Lehigh Valley Area. Since Covid dinning out has become more expensive, but when you get a decent portion size the extra cost is acceptable. Our recent trip for dinner did not...disappoint. Getting there at 5:30 while still during happy hour was great. We had steamed clams with browned butter and well drinks for $8. Let me say this about the drinks, ordering a martini I actually got two drinks. Our server Alex poured one for me and the side car had another full pour. Our meal began with steamed clams and clams on the half shell. Our diner choices were the Seared Seafood Scampi, Pan Seared Truffle Scallops and the Fishermans Catch. Everything was very good and as mentioned before the portion sizes were large. Beck's Land & Sea is definitely worth a trip back during happy hour to take advantage of fair prices and great food.More

Rachel ROCKS!! Our first visit as we were looking for decent seafood within 25 miles of our home. I viewed the menu (pricey) and read several reviews and decided to give it a go. We entered about 415 pm on this Friday, October 8th, without...a reservation but the hostess directed us to a small 2 top in back corner. Rachel took our order, presented our $40 Outer Banks Fried Platter with 8 scallop pieces, 3 large shrimp, 2 huge oysters and the best crab cake eaten in restaurant in a long time! Loaded baked potato, $2 uncharged, fresh buttered broccoli rounded out the plate. (Weis Markets, local grocer, has best made in store!) A golf basket of crusty rolls, whipped butter and fresh water and lemon. Now the adjacent diners had Michael as their waiter and their exchange of information was more detailed. Samples of seasonal beer sounded great and I asked Rachael if I could try a couple, scarecrow or the cappuccino ale? Or did they offer Lancaster Baked Pumpkin Ale. She said she would ask and the pint arrived, I tasted it and it was not the LBPA. it had hints of vanilla and spices like Michael explained to other table. I walked to bar, inquired with the bartender and he noted it was the NOT the LBPA but the Scarecrow one. We were not charged but bartender was familiar with LBPA and MIXED a few beers together to create the taste. I appreciated that gesture. These servers all work together and so, Michael asked if I wanted my food wrapped to go, I said YES and jokingly counted FIVE pieces. The box was presented to me, I opened it and one scallop was missing. I asked Rachel to ask the chef if he had an extra scallop to replace the LOST one and she obliged cheerfully. We left room for dessert and the banana cheesecake “Fried Burrito” with a whipped cream dipping display was oh, so, yummy. The Specialty Coffee capped the meal off so well. My closing words don’t include the interior or furnishing. I’ve eaten in restaurants that were holes in the wall and yet served the BEST cuisine. I’ve also dined at lavish, over the top designer restaurants that served less than acceptable food. We enjoyed the food, kudos to the chef, that gracious bartender, for server, Michael stepping in to explain beer and the additional waitstaff who stepped in to make our dining experience great!More

Made a reservation few days earlier and notified about increased party size, an hour before arrival. Parking was available on premise. We were promptly greeted but still had to wait 20 minutes for seating. The place was busy with patrons and a good amount of...waitstaff. They managed to clear and set-up a large table for our whole party. Just when we were done with ordering word came the special was no longer available. Bummer. Had to reorder for half the table for more expensive a la carte entrees. Service was friendly and prompt. Everybody enjoyed the nicely presented and tasty food. While the noise level in the large dining room can make conversations difficult, half of the patrons were gone halfway through our diner experience. This made for easier conversations around the large table.More

The Pandemic has been very rough on everyone from individuals to businesses. I was happy to find this restaurant just before the pandemic hit and couldn't ask for better food. When the Pandemic hit I was pleased to hear that this restaurant would offer curbside...pickup so we could continue to have a small sense of normalcy. As restaurants struggled to stay afloat and keep their employees I was happy to patronize Beck's 2-3 times per month and tip 20% each time. Now that things are beginning to return to "normal" this restaurant no longer caters to those that helped keep them going. Their website says that they offer takeout but when you call, the hostess informs you that they are not currently doing takeout. Another phone call on a different day results in "we are too busy to offer take out right now". This has occurred on 4 occasions over the past 4 weeks. I am very disappointed that this restaurant has forgotten the people that helped keep them afloat during the difficult times. I am sure we are not the only ones disappointed with the lack of takeout but I do wish the business well.More

We took our friend out for her 81st birthday to Beck's. The server Alyssa was the best waitress I've had in a long time. The drinks were tasty and strong. My father said the French onion soup was the best around. The broiled seafood combination...platter, King crab legs, and crabcakes were so fresh and perfect! The staff sang to our 81 year old friend and we enjoyed crimbrulee amongst other desserts. Thank you Beck's for the delicious and memorable dinner!More

I went there for the first time today with my family and my expectations were far exceeded. The food was excellent for the money spent, but what truly blew me away was the service. Our server, Abbie, was polite and attentive without being overbearing and...had great recommendations. Another customer was being disruptive and contentious and she handled it professionally and maturely. Amazing service!More

The worst service on new years eve. They decided to open their doors to the public despite the in-dinning restrictions, but whatever not my issue. My issue is they decided to cancel take out last minute to cater to those that dined in... I live...local. They will not receive my business anymore. I chose to dine local in support of local resturants during these trying times, but instead the local resturant chose to abandone me.More

After seeing all the great reviews I had high hopes for Beck’s. Worn out ambiance, mediocre taste. It wasn’t bad, but I was expecting more for what we spent. Seemed like a glorified Red Lobster. Plenty of patrons in jeans and plaid even on a...holiday. We won’t be back.More

This was a disappointment. We had dinner for my 65th birthday, so I was hoping for something special. Turns out, the food was “ meh “. They had no scallops, which was actually what I was looking forward to. They substituted extra shrimp, and the...shrimp was no better than what I could make at home. The service was inattentive at best. My companion had ahi tuna, which he said was good. We had one appetizer, which we shared. He had one beer. I felt the prices were higher than they deserved to be. The restaurant was not at all crowded, so there was no excuse for either the poor service or the blah food. The bill came to over $75, not including tip. We passed on dessert because there was nothing particularly appealing on the dessert menu. I wanted to give this restaurant another chance to redeem itself, because we has a disappointing meal awhile back. We won’t be returning.More
