Doc Magrogan's is reminiscent of the kinds of seafood restaurants on a shore so it probably is a nice change in landlocked Moosic in Northern Pennsylvania. They had a day's selection of oysters on the menu and board and say they get them fresh everyday so oyster lovers are probably thrilled. Since we have grown up near the Chesapeake Bay... More

I like this place because they do offer Gluten Free items, but I wish they offered more of a choice, there is not that much to chose from. I had the Grilled seafood salad, it was good and the seafood was fresh, I swapped out the salmon for ex shrimp and it was very good. My husband had the Softshell... More

I was recently in the area for a quick overnight and decided to dine here solo. I travel and dine alone frequently, and someday restaurants will learn that when you are dining without a partner, the absolute LAST PLACE you want to sit is in the middle of the room at a deuce with everyone else hugging the walls in... My wife and I hit the Thursday Happy Hour before the Peach Music Festival. The $1 oysters were delicious. I got a platter of 15 and a 1/2 draft while sitting at the bar. My wife order a small plate of lightly fried shrimp with an Asian sauce. Very good. She ordered a Gin drink of some kind that she... More

The food was good but not outstanding. The service was very good and the restaurant was clean. I thought the prices were a little high for the quality of the food. I would return but find other options preferable.

The raw bar was the highlight.....Oysters were fresh & tasty. The lobster manacotti was not as advertised, no chunks of lobster or shrimp, mostly filled with ricotta cheese & topped with a nasty sauce. The Simply Grilled scallops were barely warm when they reached our table.....for the price I expected more than 4 on my plate & "seasonal vegetables" should... More

My wife and I stopped here while traveling through. They had a Sunday special on their fish bowl drinks. Very weak. Drank a whole Long Island tea and never felt a thing. Ordered the Maryland fried platter and it wasn't much. One crab cake, two shrimp, two scallops, and two oysters for $27. I don't mind paying for good food... More

Who expects a raw oyster bar in the middle of Pennsylvania? But there it is. The place is fairly big, kind of a pub setting with a big bar (which surrounds the oyster shuckers as well as the bartender) and booths and tables. I had one of their signature cocktails (involving Bourbon, Chambord and cranberry) - quite good. They had... More

The fried oysters and crab cakes were very good. The salmon and crab hash and the Maryland crab soup, not so much. I would give it another shot but would avoid those selections.
