Everything I have ever had here is so good. Actually all I ever order is dosa's, Aloo Gobi and Palak Paneer. So good I've never tried anything else. Order the poori's.

Very closely located to S V Temple Pittsburg , Udipi Cafe provides tasty authentic South Indian Vegetarian dishes. Heavily crowded guests waiting time is long. However it deserves waiting. Major disadvantage is the wash /Rest Room which is not adequately provided. We enjoyed our Lunch and Dinner there.

I haven't been a fan of Indian food....but this place is amazing. Everything is made to order....it is always filled with Indian people - which to me means it is authentic - and good! You must try it ...you wont be disappointed

I am not vegetarian, neither is my husband. We come here when we have a craving for tasty curries and spicy chutnies. Love this place. My husband says "When I want Indian in Pittsburgh, this is where I go." Wish they would fix the lock on the ladies bathroom, though.

Was here for dinner with family along with my kids. the experience was ok. It does not have the authentic taste of udipi ( I am not a from the udipi region, my taste for udipi developed from other udipi restaurants in India - Karnataka) Coconut Chutney was a frozen one I beleive, it was not tasting that good. Sambar... More

Went out to dinner with a vegetarian. Udipi tastes so good you willn't miss meat. Best to order lots of different dishes and share. Be sure and check on the level of spicy you are comfortable with.

There was nothing wrong with our meal. This is more of a neighborhood restaurant. Casual. Although it is hardly a neighborhood filled with Indian residents. Reassuring was a long table full of about 12 Indian customers. The food looked fantastic. Some of ours did, also. But we made tepid choices. The food was not thrilling. Sauces would help. There were... More

We have been visiting Monroeville once a year for last 8 years and make sure to visit Udipi every time. Never been disappointed. For is amazing. Love the dosas, chutney and sambhar. Chole batura is very tasty and we tried their lunch specials which was good too.

Go for the food, not the ambiance. We visit on a regular basis. Our favorite Indian food in Pittsburgh so far.
