There do not seem to be any ice cream alternatives in the Lock Haven area but this place meets the need. Run by Mennonite volunteers to raise funds for a second-chance camp for youth. Servings are generous and there is always a special flavor in addition to chocolate or vanilla. The unheralded treat is really the pretzels. Home-made and served... More

Besides the ice cream and other cool treats, they have great soft pretzels. I really like the Pretzel Dogs! They offer a feature flavor of ice cream each week.

Our family just loves the Ice Shack. From the warm, fresh pretzels to the soft, creamy ice cream, we have never had a bad snack from the Ice Shack. Even when the line is long, it's worth the wait. We go several times each season.

The ice cream and Italian ice are both delicious. The staff is generally quite friendly as well. At times the wait in line is pretty long, so take someone along to chat with. All the profits from this business go to a non-profit therapeutic camp in the area.

The Ice Shack is an awesome place for many reasons. Their ice cream is creamy and delicious, and the homemade pretzels are to die for!!. The best part of the Ice Shack is that all proceeds are used to support the Boys Wilderness Camp. What an awesome service they provide and I applaud heir efforts to help today's youth!
