Stopped at another local restaurant in Mifflinburg and received no service, so we left and found Scarlet D. What a great find. The service was very good with a very polite and helpful server. The wings were great and the smothered fries in spinach dip were incredible. My friend had the Fireball burger and said it was really good. Enjoyed... More

Hometown bar atmosphere with good food. We primarily go for the wings. Limited hours of operation during the week. Patio seating, entertainment on some weekends. They do lots of fund raisers. Great place to relax and enjoy time with friends.

The food was super yummy. We had appetizers for lunch. The pretzels with cheese sauce was excellent. For dinner we had burgers and the shrimp meal. All so good. The portions were also a good size. The overall atmosphere was clean. The staff was helpful, polite and kind. There was a benefit band in the back room so service was... More

We had never been here before but thought we would try something new for my husbands birthday since they offered a free birthday meal. We went in and there was no sign to seat yourself so we waited. Several waitresses walked by before one finally said to pick a seat. We sat and waited for at least 5-10 minutes and... More

Passing through Mifflinburg, PA and stopped for supper. It just happened to be my birthday and so my meal was free. The food was good - you know you're in PA Dutch country when pickled eggs are one of the sides choices and ring baloney and cheese is an appetizer choice. We chose to eat outside on the sidewalk, which... More

The Scarlet D makes a great middle point on a bike ride from Lewisburg. The Lewisburg & Mifflinburg rail trail goes from the parking lot in Lewisburg all the way to the road that the Mifflinburg Hotel is on. The rail trail is the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail and it goes from Lewisburg to Mifflinburg and back. You can begin... More

had a nice dinner tonight and were pleased with the speed of service and taste of food. Food has always been good but in the past had to wait for food to come out of kitchen.

We ate at this restaurant several times about a year ago and it was really great. This time... not so much. Perhaps it changed owners. The menu was not very extensive. Some of the food was very good; some was barely average. The Jalepeno Poppers are really hot! The Quesadillas are also very spicy due to the jalepeno peppers in... More

The town of Mifflinburg, with its downtown on the National Register of Historic Places and decidedly un-touristy, authentic flavor, is worth a visit by itself. The town is really quaint and when you're driving up Route 45 to get there, you'll pass a lot of Amish buggies. While you're there, be sure to check out the Scarlet D tavern. It's... More
