If you're looking for five star dining in central Pennsylvania this place and Hotel Hershey are probably the top two choices. Reservations are encouraged and the food is incredible set in an old Victorian Mansion, the restaurant is spread out through the first and second floor it's great for date nights and special occasions
I just finished one of the best crab cakes I've ever had. Little to no filler. It came with a small scoop of smashed potatoes and just a few pieces of carrots and broccoli. The salad was also very good and the whole meal was portioned perfectly.
Alfred's staff worked with us to create a custom menu for a dinner party of 10, serving us on the night before Mother's Day, while also having a large wedding party on the 2nd floor. Our 5 course dinner was served without a flaw. Each course was fabulous. There was a choice of soups, Stracciatella or Gazpacho, and both were... More
The current road construction in front of the restaurant didn't distract us in any way to go try Alfred's Victorian. And we didn't regret our decision to try this unique dining experience. Meal was excellent, staff was very friendly, and ambiance was superb. Overall a very nice evening.
Visited Alfred's for the first time last weekend and it was certainly a challenge. The whole block in front of the restaurant was blocked off for construction and they have no parking lot to begin with. Once we found a way in, the decor was very relaxing and the menu had plenty to choose from. The service and the food... More
Our innkeeper at the Annville Inn suggested dining at Alfreds. What a good choice to celebrate our anniversary. Charming authentic Victorian home! Carlos our server was excellent. We enjoyed a nice leisurely dinner in a romantic setting. Had crostini, potato soup, veal and conch and all were delicious. I have to give special note to the potatoes and vegetables that... More
The service was great and the presentation of dishes prepared table side were fun and authentic. The food was better than average, but not outstanding. The price point for 6 adults & 2 bottles of wine was steep for the food taste quality. Just slightly out of harmony. We have no problem dropping $$$ for great food but the line... More
This restaurant is in an old Victorian house that is haunted. The food is very good, but a bit over-priced. Service is excellent.
