Stayed 2 nights in very unique hotel in a great old time town. Good accomodations and good shuttle service from the GAP bike trail. Highly recommend!!

This place is a hotel, restaurant and event place. The entrance to the restaurant is tricky but they have a cool terrace overlooking town. I struggled a little bit with the menu as I wanted a light nite and it is mostly traditional US fare...of hamburgers and sandwiches plus the Pensilvania additions. Even the appetizers were humongous. Service was good and friendly at seems like the only place for a nice dinner I townMore

This was our first visit to Morguen Toole and it did not disappoint. We took a day trip into Cumberland from Meyersdale. Morguen Toole packed us a trail side lunch with a fresh whole grain bread sandwich, snacks and drinks. Once in Cumberland, we were...provided a safe ride(with our bikes) back to Meyersdale. We stayed in a spacious, nicely decorated suite with a kitchen, dining/living room, two bedrooms and a huge bathroom. We had dinner on the new patio. The crab dip and wings were delicious! Also, we enjoyed a few drinks at the bar and talked to the staff. Every worker was welcoming and made us feel at home. We will definitely be back!More

This is our second time staying at the Morguen Toole Hotel, both times reserving the stay and play package. This hotel is top notch. Very unique in its design and run by an amazing general manager, Maggie. She, as well as the rest of the...staff, are friendly, helpful and feel like family by the time your stay has come to an end. Each unique room is well equipped. They will securely store your bikes for the rest of your stay after a nice long bike ride on the GAP trail. (Conveniently located a street away) The restaurant is spacious, clean -both indoor and outdoor dining- and the food is delicious. There are billiards, a bar and even live music on scheduled weekends. This hotel is a gem in Meyersdale, Pa.More

The ribs were good and reasonably priced. They now have an outside deck with live music (that really didn't need amplification).

I stayed at the hotel and ate at the restaurant on a recent bike trip along the GAP and C&O. The staff couldn't have been kinder or more accommodating. Their menu did not have any vegan options, but the chef made me a vegan stir...fry that was unbelievably good! This hotel and restaurant will be a destination for my future trips along the trail. I highly recommend MTC without reservations!More

This place is really cool. The decor is eclectic. The food and service awesome. Plus they have a great beer, wine and drink selection. The menu had a number of appetizers, fish, beef and pork selections. The prices were reasonable and the portions were very...filling. We didn't have enough room for desert. But, the cheesecake sounded awesome!More

Came back to visit my mother’s hometown and to see the impact the GAP trail has had on the town (significant- in a good way). We decided to try out this restaurant because I remember this old building as being many of different things, so...I was nice to see the historic building in good hands. The decor was interesting, kinda fun. We were confused at first about how to enter, but the entrance was actually in the side of the building because the restaurant is in the second floor. The food was really good! I was so happy to see that M’dale finally got some decent food (besides The White House). They are adding a deck onto the side which will have nice outdoor seating, so I’ll be sure to come back and see that when it’s done.More

The few other restaurants in town were closed the week in August we were visiting, but that was okay. The restaurant was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There is live music on Saturday nights, and the singer was good but a little...loud for these old ears. We had hamburgers - my son had one with onion rings on the burger, and it was delicious! The fries and baked potato were good, however the Brussel sprouts were drowning in some sort of butter sauce, and I did not think the bacon in the sprouts really worked (heresy for bacon lovers, I know!) Prices are reasonable, clean restaurant in unique building, food good. It served its purpose after a hard day riding on the Great Allegheny Passage.More
