Our lunch was delicious. The tables were spaced out, and all of the employees wore masks. It is nice to have good food and feel safe!

Sophias at Walden is one of our go-to spots for a great lunch, a lighter dinner, or a nice Sunday brunch. We have eaten here many times and have always found the food to be fresh and very tasty. Lunch has a huge selection of...great salads and sandwiches. When visiting for dinner, their Gorgonzola meatloaf is great. I can honestly say that we have never had a bad meal at Sophias.More

This was my first time to this restaurant located in an attractive planned community main street setting. My expectations were very high considering the great experience I had at Sophia’s daughter’s restaurant Thea. The restaurant was much smaller and plainer than I expected. Note it...is a BYOB. My order was the Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs ($10)– three small house made meatballs stuffed with fresh mozzarella & smothered in marinara sauce, and the server recommended Eggplant Parmesan ($15) - hand breaded, pan-fried eggplant with provolone & red sauce over angel hair pasta. What I Liked: - The meatballs were generally good, and the sauce was better than average - The small side salad with house balsamic was very good What I Did Not Like: - The meatballs were partially burnt and not at a price point value based on size - One side of both pieces of eggplant was burned which ruined the dish. Eventually my server came over and told her I would not eat it. She took it back with no problem and offered something else. Since my dining partner was already done, I said what would be quick? She said meatloaf which turned out to be an extended wait. - The price point for two small round slices of eggplant and some pasta was not a value My overall rating placed this restaurant at #121 of the 157 restaurants I have eaten at in the Carlisle area since February 2019. After reading all the hype about this place I must say I was very disappointed. Sophia needs to spend more time in kitchen on quality control or bring in Thea!More

While Sophia's is off the beaten track (not on a main highway but in a nice residential development, Walden) it has charm, atmosphere, and very good food at a reasonable price. Breakfasts, lunches or brunches on weekends, or dinners have too many good offerings. Service...is friendly and great. It is a repeat favorite.More

I often drive miles out of my way for lunch at Sophia's at Walden. The Clam Chowder on Fridays is the best! My other favorites are: California tuna melt with avocado and sprouts; coconut chicken salad with poppy seed dressing; and coconut shrimp in the...summer.More

We have eaten at Sophia's numerous times for lunch and decided to try dinner. We will be back! Our party of 4 had the meatloaf and chicken parmesan dinners. Chicken was very tender and generously portioned with angel hair pasta. Meatloaf was delicious - I...ended up taking half my meal home! The salads were a perfect start with wonderful housemade dressings. Dinner came out hot! We shared a creme puff and tiramisu for dessert. I would order it all again. You can tell that the food is freshly made and Sophia herself even comes around to check on each of the tables! Don't forget to bring your own wine. Only concern is that it can be loud if you get there when a large party is there as well.More

We made a reservation for a family dinner for a Saturday evening and were all very pleased. It was a hot summer night but the canopies give ample shade so it was not unbearable. The menu has a nice selection of salads, sandwiches and full...dinners to please everyone. We have a few very picky healthy eaters as well as some who want to leave feeling full and the menu options were good for all. My granddaughter was happy to play with the jumbo Jenga blocks while waiting for her meal and we all enjoyed the live entertainment. The owner Sophia came around to make sure all was well and the entire wait staff makes sure as well. It is a byob and they will provide the glasses and open the bottle without a cork fee. Very pleasant atmosphere and fresh delicious food. You will not be disappointed.More

Not a very big menu. Food was fresh. I had a salad. Presentation was nice. Portion was small. I thought it was over-priced; I guess it's mainly to about location and atmosphere. I have friends who think this place is all that, but they aren't...the kind of people who enjoy eating. They like the BYOB option here, along with occasional live music.More

I LOVE getting breakfast here. And I'm not even a breakfast person. However, every once in a while I get a morning date with my husband (and father to our 5 fab kids) and we go to Sophia's. I sip on a latte and enjoy...eggs, whole grain toast, and the best sausage, with of course their side of potatoes. It's perfect and full of yumminess!More
