SMOKY MARTINS BBQ, Meadville

That's just the second time we have visited this barbecue place. It is definitely a hidden gem, and a absolute delight. I would recommend to anybody who wants amazing barbecue, and brick oven anything! I also recommend if you like something unique and absolutely mouth-wateringly...delicious, get the Twinkies. And maybe two or three orders. The first trip I had a salad which was amazing, the second time yesterday, I had the honey gorgonzola Pizza. A hair bit too much Rosemary, but still absolutely delicious. And again the Twinkies! This is not a very disappointing place at all. Highly highly highly recommendMore

Unexpected Delight

My wife and I like good food but most of the time we are disappointed. Not this time we ordered a pulled pork sandwich, seasoned fries, mac and cheese, pork nachos, and a brick oven cooked spicy chicken ranch pizza. Nachos were very good we...didn't think all those flavors would of tasted as good together as they did ( that was a good surprise). Mac and cheese was good. Pulled pork sandwich was made on a chabotta bread great choice great smoke on the meat only needed a bit more BBQ sauce for my taste. Seasoned fries were very good. They were a nice upgrade from the same old tired fries you get most places. The best thing I had was that pizza. It had a great crunchy chewy crust ( nail on the head there), the chicken was moist and tender, the hot sauce was spot on and complimented perfectly by the ranch dressing. This is a rare occasion we get out AND have a great meal at a place, other than our own kitchen. It's a place we will visit again next time we get up that way.More

GrubHub Driver and restaurant Employees not wearing face masks

The food was very good. Although I ordered online ahead of time, I still waited in the lobby about 15 minutes. (I would have waited in the car had I known I'd be waiting 15 minutes to get my food) Staff was friendly enough. The...problem? I was waiting behind a young man who was right by the cash register, physically touching the counter. If you were picking up food, you had to stand right next to him to get it. He was the only customer not wearing a face mask at all. Then to my surprise, it wound up that this young man was a GrubHub driver, who presumably was delivering barbecue to people who were ordering delivery partially to avoid Coronavirus. All of the staff had masks, but none of them were covering their mouth and nose with them, not even the counter personnel. All other considerations of this place mean nothing to me personally if I think that the staff and delivery drivers aren't following legal safety protocols. Especially the GrubHub driver, who is more st likely delivering from several different restaurants to people that may be at high risk for this disease. So based on what I saw, I would advise people to avoid this place, and GrubHub altogether.More

great barbecue

Ordered on line and had a wonderful meal delivered to me-tender barbecue chicken with cornbread, Cole slaw and baked beans. A fantastic meal! will order again!

Just take out😕

We got wings and pulled pork and it was outstanding. The wings were smoked then covered with house made creole type rub. They are now my favorite. Stayed crispy and moist for the trip home. Pulled pork was smoked just right. I visit once twice...a year. This is now my first stop.More

Barbe On QUE

We have been visiting the Meadville area frequently for the past two years and always wanted to try this place. Today was the day! We ordered pulled pork sandwiches, mac & cheese, the potato salad and fries and cornbread. Nothing disappointed. This will be a...staple on return visits. For a small take-out, they have a huge menu. If you are in the area, we highly recommend stopping in.More

Awesome!!!

Wife and I rode from Cleveland on our way we stopped here because we heard it was great. Well it was! The ribs were the best we have ever tasted and the wings and brisket were just as good. We would ride here again just...to eat. Highly recommended.More

Great BBQ , EVEN BETTER PIZZA

This a very popular BBQ, very popular indeed. And with good reason...the food is terrific. But don't miss the pizza, our favorite is the Margarita. Wood fired, thin crust...really excellent. And the salads are equally great. You won't be disappointed.

Great pulled pork

I was referred to this restaurant by someone else who tried their bbq at a catered event and boy was it good. No where to eat inside but the food was awesome and they had a to go setup with reasonable prices. Roll that was...used for the pulled pork sandwich was really good too...More

Small but good

This is a small establishment, but good service and a classic "Pennsylvania style bbq". Not sure exactly what that is, but the food was very good! Outside tables provide seating in good weather. I hope they do expand to include seating in doors. A good...find.More

Supper pickup

Stopped on our way home and picked up brisket and pulled pork for supper was out standing moist tender great smoke on will return soon love smoke meat anytime I can get it fantastic

Excellent food, terrific customer service

Stopped here during Parents' Weekend at Allegheny College, and were treated like royalty! Proudly showed us their new pizza oven from Italy, and their bbq smoker. We had the pulled pork and the brisket sandwiches, and our son had the BBQ beans (nice that a...vegetarian could find something delicious to eat, too). They seemed genuinely happy to welcome us into their restaurant, unlike so many service businesses these days, who treat customers like an interruption. We'll most definitely be back!More

Love love this place

The best Beef Brisket I have ever had!

My family LOVES Smokey Martins! We’ll drive nearly an hour just to get ourselves some! We have never, ever been disappointed. The wood fired pizza is amazing. By far the best BBQ in the are.

Mouth watering delicious

Smoky Martins BBQ has great Brisket. Also, try their pizza. It's a joy to walk into a friendly, sparkling clean resturant.
