At the recommendation of a friend of the family, we all decided to celebrate my wife’s birthday dinner at this restaurant with a large group. Pittsburgh restaurants never disappoint! The food was insanely delicious and the portions were monstrous. The prices per meal are definitely...set for two people to enjoy...unless you have a massive appetite. Everything tasted homemade from scratch and was well worth the visit. It’s a BYOB restaurant without a corking fee, so bring your favorite wine, relax and savor the deliciousness of every course. Thanks to the owner and our waitress for being so fun and accommodating. The famous Mancini’s bread bakery is just down the road (you can buy fresh out of the oven), so this area provides two great food landmarks of Pittsburgh to experience.More

I have eaten here twice now with friends and both times the food was very good. It's mostly red sauce Italian, but I do not mean that disparagingly. When red sauce is done well, as it is here, it is heavenly. My veal bolognese was...tender, the melted cheese and red sauce on top were superb, and did I mention that the portion was huge? Service is extremely friendly. This place is on the small side, so reservations on Friday and Saturday are advised. It's also BYOB, which cuts down on the cost. Highly recommended.More

Tried 1905 Eatery for the first time this evening. Eggplant Parmigiana with a side of penne in tomato sauce was excellent. Huge portions -- enough for more than one meal. No room for dessert. Great service too. I'm sure I will be back.

Excellent Italian food, with the eggplant for an app. Seafood tagliatelle was superb, and veal piccata was decent. Side of pasta...mangia! Leave room for lemon cake next visit . 😉

The restaurant, which we have been too before, is a small and cozy eatery that serves the made to order Italian dishes that are excellent no matter what you order. sauces are homemade and the meats are nicely prepared. Prices are a little above average,...but the food is well worth the prices. Definitely will return in the future again. The server has been there quite a while and knows about the menu and is very accommodating.More

Portions are out of this world! Best Italian food I’ve had in a very long time. ! What a gem so close to home ! Had the lemon cake , it was excellent! Prices are comparable for all the food you get. Try the bread...with dipping oil also yum!More

this is the best Italian I have had in Pittsburgh. the menu is comprehensive. eight people dined together and the consensus was the same, "we have to come back."

This is just a local neighborhood restaurant, but it serves a wonderful meal. My husband and I had heard good things about this restaurant from friends, neighbors, even the lady that cuts our hair. We had to try it out for ourselves and we are...so glad we did. The food is very good, the wait staff friendly and prompt. Parking is street parking only in a congested neighborhood, but this is the only real downfall. It was not especially crowded, even for a Friday night, which just tells me that not enough people know how good the food is. We will be back for more.More

We can’t say enough about 1905 Eatery. Authentic Italian dishes made by the Old Country Italians. Try the greens and beans and the stuffed banana peppers for an appetizer followed by The Chicken Parmesan or Piccata!! Be prepared to take home plenty of leftovers🤗

Our first time there because we heard it was a BYOB restaurant and no corkage fee. And was also in the Enjoy Book with a BOGO offer. The food was delicious but it was so bright in there you would have thought you were in...McDonald's. Not a very good romantic place, that's for sure. Just couldn't understand why they didn't have the lights lowered a bit. Anything would have helped. They are definitively not going to make it with lighting like that.More
