I rarely if ever give a one star rating. But this restaurant's food was rather awful. The antipasto contained four very tiny bites--all bland or greasy. There was one piece of proscuitti that was decent but overly loaded with oil. The rest was tasteless, even the pate was hard to swallow and had a fruit topping with very little tang... More

My friend and I sat at the bar (we arrived at 4:30 and dinner isn't served until 5:00) and had drinks and appetizers. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and wonderful drinks and food! Will go again to try dinner!

Not your typical Italian restaurant, unless, perhaps, you're in Italy. The King and Queen were not familiar with many of the items on the menu so we both took the safe route and went with something we know - trout and duck. Both were very good. Although not on the menu, we requested a caprese salad to share as an... More

Dining at Alba was a great experience You felt as if you were in Rome. A rustic dining area, a seriously knowledgeable waiter, and food that was divine. Best app, guacamole on toast, 2nd best, figs on gorgonzola cheese, the rest were very good. A rib eye for the birthday boy with mushrooms and a crisp yam beneath it.The meal... More

Stopped at Alba for first time late on Saturday night. It was a busy crowd but we didn't have to wait for table for two. We sat the bar room which had lively music playing louder than the more formal dinning areas. We liked this atmosphere very much. The aromas of the food were amazing. Had the braised pork which... Food is different, excellent and well prepared. Offerings are not the standard fare and venture on the exotic side. Very good service.

Great place, location, people. The Suckling Pig dish is tough to pass up. Comfort food at its best. Martinis aren't bad either. Highly recommend

Nice seasonal menu with local ingredients and preparations that range from Piedmontese to Puglia, with a great wine list which tracks along. Nice dining room, semi-open kitchen, and a laid back bar menu and seasonal deck. Best restaurant option West of Manayunk IMO. We've been regulars for the past five years or so.

We enjoy Restaurant Alba as one of the few upscale restaurants in our area. However, while the octopus appetizer was excellent and the rabbit pasta and lamb sirloin were very good, the description of the "torte" was misleading. While technically, a torte can be a cake or a tart, this very dense hazelnut pie was not a pleasure. I envisioned... More

It was a beautiful evening. Dined on the patio. Our server was pleasant. The server at the table next to us advised his tables of the features for the evening. Where ours did not. We had to ask. After hearing the specials, we ordered the sea bass (featured) and the lamb. I was expecting chops..but, i am sure that was... More
