As a vegan with a carnivorous hubby, this is the perfect spot for breakfast and lunch. It’s so hard to find a place that caters so well to both of us. He loves all the delicious choices, and I know that I can 100% trust that what I order is truly vegan. Such a fantastic feeling to have a spot where I don’t have to get a garden salad...again...because it’s literally the only thing on the menu I can eat. Well worth the 40 minute drive!!!!

Stopped in after hiking and shopping in the area. The place is small but the food is delicious. So glad my friend suggested it. I had the Joanie Loves Sirachi sandwich. It was so good. My only complaint was that there was a bit to much meat in the sandwich. I can't wait to come back and try breakfast with my husband and son.

My kids absolutely love Andy’s as do my husband and I. While it is in the pricier side, I love that everything is local and made to order and from scratch. Even the croissants are made by a nearby French pasty chef. The orange juice is squeezed right before your eyes. I wish we could go more often, but when we can get out there, it’s a half hour, twenty mile drive just for breakfast, and it’s worth it. My only complaint is the limited hours. Often I’d like to stop by during the week but they aren’t open M-Th.

The Pros: varied selection for vegetarians, vegans, gluten free, and carnivores; as huge music lovers, we loved the names of the foods as a lot of them were related to great bands and songs; food tasted good despite our steak fry order looking like we got the pieces from the bottom of the bag. The Cons: A $30 meal for two people and all items are served on paper plates with cheap thin napkins, flimsy plastic disposable utensils and plastic disposable glasses. For this price, I would expect real silverware, glasses and plates that are washed and reused. It was surprising to visit a place that caters to this type of clientele and then have have all disposable, single-use items. For us, the cost is never really an issue, but it stood out too much in our minds that we paid $30+ for this experience. I really was hoping to write a good review as we 100% love privately owned businesses in Berks County, but this one just didn't take the cake. :(

I am so sorry you didn't enjoy your experience at Andy Pepper's. Please contact me so I can issue you a full refund for your meal. I completely understand why first time customers may be taken aback by our fast casual style. I would like to take an opportunity to explain why we do things this way. Since our inception at the Lancaster County farmers Market decades ago we were always a fast casual style restaurant with a focus on high quality ingredients and homemade products. It was a tiny 425 square foot stand which included the kitchen and dining area. We were doing a great business there but it became too restrictive and we wanted to find something closer to home and allow us to grow. When we found this building we fell in love with the location but realized it was going to take a lot of work to turn this into a functioning restaurant. One of the requirements was that we would have to collect all of our waste water or install a ridiculously expensive drip irrigation septic system. So we decided to operate the same as we did at the market. The fast casual style we were used to doing fit perfectly for conserving as much water as possible. Washing hundreds of knives, forks, spoons, plates, mugs, and glasses a day would cost considerably more. Installing a modern super efficient dish washing system would also consume space and funds we just didn't possess. We are looking into more environmentally friendly products that will help reduce our environmental footprint without passing more cost on to our customers. Hopefully one day we will be able to afford more space to install an efficient dish washing system so we can convert to more standard tableware. Thanks for your input. Have a great day.

Atmosphere and service was good. The food was old-tasting, non-flavored, and extremely expensive. Andy (owner) was cordial, but cheap. No coffee refills, no large portions, no nothing. The place is open on weekends only. Stale food by the time me and my Doctor had breakfast on a Sunday morning. YUK !!!!

Amazingly good for breakfast and lunch. Fresh and high quality ingredients, make anything on the menu delicious. The pancakes and French toast for breakfast are huge servings, and come in different flavors. Try the homemade whipped cream with them! Menu is flexible and everything is made to order. Great little atmosphere and super friendly service.

I have been to Andy Peppers so many times I have lost count. I have never had a bad meal there and everything is fresh and very good! They keep getting better too by adding tables, adding things to the menu etc. Even though the line is sometimes out the door they do a very good job getting you your food fast with no lapse in quality. Definitely stop here.

We stopped in for breakfast. I ordered an omelette that was enormous and delicious. I gave half to my husband. Everything was fresh and the coffee was good and hot. Will definitely come back again!

My wife and I always try to go to small local coffees shops when we travel, they just taste better. We heard about Andy’s from our Air BnB host and decided to try them out, we were not disappointed. They have amazing coffee and amazing breakfast dishes with homemade toppings. I highly recommend this place for just coffee, or coffee and breakfast and the prices are very reasonable.

Way iff the beaten path and definitely casual. My daughter raved about this pkace so thought we'd give a try. Tight quarters and family style seating. I had omelet that weighed 5 pounds! Not really but was heavy. Veggie cheese but the veggies were so undercooked it took away from the pleasure ...would ask them to cook more next time as they were virtually see and cold. Bacon was fabulous! My most favorite was the zucchini corn bread and white birch beer..could have just had that and been a happy camper. My husband had the Budha burger but wasn't impressed.

High quality food a bit off the beaten path makes Andy Peppers a fun place to stop for breakfast. It's not the typical high volume, low quality turn tables all morning place. I had the flat bottom girl breakfast sandwich, my guest, a huge chocolate chip pancake, with coffee and iced tea the bill came in at $18. The sandwich could have easily been shared as could have the pancakes. If you're looking for cheap--this isn't the place. If you're looking for different and good--stop by and try it.

Went there twice, first time, they had old wooden tables for handicapped only, now they have regular tables for everyone and high tables. Food is good, but expensive for what you get. Seafood chowder to go was expensive and very bland and seafood mushy. We had salad with chicken and egg/avocado salad on top, very expensive but good. You put your order in and then go pick it up, all plastic and paper products. owner sort of has an attitude that his place is the best there is, there's been many restaurants in that area and they have failed. They need to lower prices and also some of the sandwiches are high priced and you get very little, I did take out the second time and when I got home, what a surprise, the sandwich would have made Weight Watchers list and I paid a good amount for it. When you talk to the owner, he's friendly but very arrogant and sure of himself. The place is hard to see when driving, it's next to the post office and right now the main road is blocked so you have to go by his restaurant, but when the main road opens, you won't know this place is there and that's why this owner might want to tone down his I'm the greatest attitude!!!

Great breakfast and lunch items, only open Th-Sunday. A lot of food on your plate, although not cheap. The zuchini bread was delicious. Sounds goofy, but the hand made chips imported from St. Louis were absolutely fantastic. Good assortment of omelets, pancakes, french toast, sandwiches sounded delicious.

Stopped at Andy Peppers while on a shopping tour. They only serve breakfast (all day) and lunch. They have a nice menu of sandwiches made with fresh ingredients - and they are big!! They also have soup - some ready for take-out. They staff is very friendly. They 3 of us each had a different sandwich - egg salad, chicken salad and a beef sandwich. All were delicious. The fresh squeezed orange juice if also very good. Too bad we don't live nearby - we would frequent this place!!
