Their food is freaking amazing, any Asian dish you can think of they basically have. I'll have huge delicious sushi rolls, soup, or chicken. My mom even found her favorite Thai soup Tom Ka here, it's kind of a spicy coconut milk dish. This place is truly beautiful and ambient on the inside (when covid wasn't happening). These people are friendly as hell and will gracefully help you learn the words on your fortune cookie ^_^

I last reviewed First Wok in 2016. I copied and pasted THAT review because NOTHING has changed at this incredible family owned and operated gem. Three separate and distinct Asian cuisines (Chinese; Japanese & Thai) all offered in a single restaurant? Sounds impossible - but First Wok pulls it off magnificantly. The menu is extensive, for all 3 cuisines - and many of the dishes are pictured. They arrive at your table looking just like the pictures. Service is great. Portions are VERY generous. Decor is VERY Asian, and although most of the vegatation is artificial, one gets the feeling they're dining in a garden. Sound level - even when crowded with customers - is very quiet. NO alcoholic beverages are served, but they allow customers to BYOB. This is a dining pleasure we will enjoy again - and AGAIN.

Interesting decorations for an Asian Restaurant -- Having been here before I brought a group of friends to share a the experience -- The Sushi Combo was very fresh. Overall a good experience, I would return to try more dishes albeit it was a bit pricey ($$) ~$75 for two people. Service was well-timed and friendly, I definitely recommend this as a place to eat for any travelers looking for a good Asian Fusion dining experience.

We sat outside during the festival at Ligonier and thought Chinese would be different and it was. I ordered General Tso Chicken and it was overly breaded meat in a soupy, sauce with rice that needed to be pulled apart to eat. The owner might need to look up a recipe for what they are cooking. I would never go back.

To try to summarize in as few words as possible--I figured with the area this was located in, the quality would be excellent. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. I felt that it was overpriced for the amount of food received and the food itself wasn't the greatest. Some parts seemed dry while others just tasted a bit off flavor wise. Won't be going back.

When I walked in I expected a Chinese/Japanese restaurant feel. Instead it was decorated like an Italian eatery with grapes hanging from the ceiling and jazz music blaring from the speakers. I noticed the prices to be a bit high but I thought I would get value from what I ordered. I was mistaken. The pot of Jasmine tea was good until about half way through when it became too bitter to drink. The miso soup was standard and what I expected. The ginger salad was almost $7 and so small I felt extremely cheated. I left there unsatisfied and $16 poorer. Not worth the money I spent. I will not be back.

Extended family for dinner. Wife and I and two sons, daughter in law and her parents and three granddaughters. One big table in the new section where they expanded to accommodate more people. We ordered5 different dishes plus fried rice. Everyone had enough to eat and were pleased with the food.

I have to admit...we read the poor reviews prior to ordering from this place, but being the only chinese place around and craving chinese we decided to give it a go. Well just like most of the reviews said we were pretty disappointed. For started we thought it was pretty overpriced specially for how crappy the food was. We ordered take out for lunch and ordering the following; Fried Dumplings: These by far the worst. I have never seen these packaged the way they were. I am used to getting them in our local spot back home which I guess we are spoiled, they pack it in a round or rectangle large container so the dumplings aren't piled on top of each other and the bottoms are crisp and the top of the container is vented. This container was a typical fried rice container and they were all piled on top of each other. One bite was all we could manage. You bit into these and the oil just oozed out, it was really gross. Not to mention for fried dumpling they were really soggy and gummy. Not good at all. General Tso's Chicken: This wasn't absolutely horrible, but definitely not good. The sauce had a very strange flavor, like nothing I have ever tasted before(and not in a good way). I want to say it was like a sweet/sour/burnt and then a slight tart flavor as in tart/sour as if something wasn't good in it(like expired or something). It was really a strange flavor. It had a slight spiciness, and the pieces of chicken were really large, slightly crispy. This sauce was on the oily side. Fried Rice: I'm not sure I would call it fried rice. It was more like steamed rice, with a little bit of veggie and egg thrown in it. And again very oily. One good note the rice was cooked well it wasn't mushy, but that's all it had going for it. Thai Mei Fun: This was honestly the only good thing in the order. It was not great, but it was good. It had pork and baby shrimp in it. The pork was definitely the lowest cut of pork that was way too much cartilage, but otherwise it was pretty decent. It was rice noodles, baby shrimp, pork, cilantro, sweet and light spicy sauce, and crushed peanuts. Again though way over priced. It was about $14. Total this order was around $50 which I thought was ridiculous. Our local spot you could get all this for lunch plus free spring rolls and lunch salads for $30 and the quality would be top notch. I would say you are better off driving the hour into the city of Pittsburgh and getting some real chinese/thai food. For those of you who are going to try it, although we did not try their sushi, we heard numerous neighbors who did and had awful food poisoning, so try at your own risk!

Made the trip to Ligonier to try First Wok, as they claim to have Chinese, Japanese and Thai. Not so much. Although the sushi was very good (but very expensive), the rest honestly tasted like they used the same basic sauce for all 3 dishes we tried. The staff was friendly and service was good, but not a place I'm going to be rushing back to anytime soon. It's a nice option if you are in the area, but I've certainly had better.

Quaint restuarant with amazing Chinese food and sushi. Staff is very friendly and they also have takeout. However, eating inside is a treat and you'll love the variety of Chinese dishes. Reasonable prices, plenty to eat.

Entire family plus sons in laws went for dinner prior to going to watch Santa's arrival in town. We ordered half a dozen different dishes plus appetizers and enjoyed it all.
