Always a favorite for ice cream, this time we had supper there. The soup was great and the pretzel rolls were delicious. Be sure to note that the wait-staff is all volunteer and the profits fund a camp. Tip generously.

I got ice cream, a soft pretzel and French fries for under $10......all were delicious...beautiful interior and exterior. Don't miss this gem when you are in Leola. Just off route 23. Very easy to find.
This was a great little shop with ice cream, pretzels, etc. Spacious and clean. The ladies working there were constantly cleaning and wiping down tables. Nice ice cream selection and decent prices, though servings are small compared to other local places. I'm glad to see...they got rid of the zoo with the rough-looking animals. The playground was very enjoyable and safe for the kids. The only reason I can't rate it higher is that it's surrounded by a large pond full of dead fish floating on the water. The children on the playground are constantly asking what happened to all the visible dead fish. If the pond was managed correctly, this place would be excellent.More
We visit there with our Amish friends on every trip. Their Ice Cream and Shakes are delicious. Also, we enjoyed their soft pretzels, Philly cheese steak pretzel logs and pulled pork sandwiches.
Where do I start... We had the ice cream, icey and a bacon ranch pretzel sandwich. The sandwich melted on my mouth and had me wanting more! The ice cream was so creamy and dreamy and the ice was very sweet And yummy. The best...part is that the workers are all volunteers and all the profits go to a camp for troubles boys. The inside seating area is like your eating at a camp ground/mess hall!More
We were in the area the other day and thanks to TripAdvisor, we found this great ice cream shop. My husband had the Barn Blaster which he really liked and I had a cup with scoops of salted pretzel and pb overlaoad. The pb overlaod...was especially good! We also shared a delicious, warm pretzel. The volunteer workers were so nice! I had read about their mission on TA but I think it would be nice if they had a sign outside where you order explaining the camp. I never would've known.More
The restaurant is simple with a sign that employees are actually volunteers and that all that supports a youth camp. The food is fresh and prepared quickly. Tables weren't cleaned. Prices are rather high. We tried the pulled pork meal, pretzel, soup chowder and hot...dog.More
This place is awesome!!! They have indoor and outdoor seating. The food is delicious and prices are good. Most people in this area do NOT wear masks. They are mostly Amish and have different beliefs than we do. As long as you keep your 6ft...distance and wear YOUR mask you are safe. The BEST part about this eatery is the people who "work" there are ALL VOLUNTEERS. All proceeds go to The Allegheny Boys Camp and they help boys lost in life. I have NEVER seen anything like this place. It is always busy!!! There is a playground and a pond with ducks.More
Very nice place on pleasant grounds with good ice cream. The problem is that almost no customers waiting in line to order are wearing masks and it seemed that most of the staff/volunteers were not wearing masks. The management of this shop appears to be...unwilling or unable to enforce a mask wearing requirement and that's the reason for my rating of poor.More
Enjoyed one of the delicious pretzel sandwiches, I usually get the chicken ranch and i have had their pretzel steak sandwiches too, Wonderfully good! I can never leave with a soft serve chocolate cone. One a cold winter day the soups always hit the spot!...And now they have fresh cut french fries also very good. One side note is the Hayloft supports a camp for troubled teen boys, a worthwhile charity! Allegheny Boys CampMore
Hidden gem in Leola. Now our new favorite ice cream spot, we are recommending it to everyone! Ice cream and Italian ice are great! Homemade Pretzels are our favorite. Pretty outdoor environment and and playground for kids.
I visited with my kids and my friend and her kids. I had the best Smores ice cream! I split a pretzel with my kids and it was amazing. They have a GREAT fenced in playground for the kids to play in.
David Yoder knows his swan is dying with a fish hook and line in his throat. He knows his swan got hit in the head. He knows his swan can’t get out of the water. He has someone that is willing to pay for vet...care for his swan and he refuses!! No one should be buying ice cream from this ANIMAL ABUSER. He tried ripping the hook out of his beak but didn’t get it all. This one now swallowed the rest of the fishing hook and the line!!!!More
The ice cream treats and pretzels are very good. They have a nice variety of both, plus salads, sandwiches and soups. The dining are is pleasant and the servers are very friendly and caring. Profits go to support a youth ministry, so the serversa are...volunteers that care about what they are doing.More
Disappointed when we stopped there. Ice cream didn't come up to the quality and creaminess of local creameries.
