This is, without a doubt, the absolute greatest BBQ place I have ever been to. It's a true gem! I ordered the 2 meat combo with brisket and pulled pork. They were very juicy and flavorful. No sauce was required, although the sauces are very...good. The collard green side and potato salad were amazing. My wife got a burger, which was spectacular. Even the fries were some of the best we have ever had. I can't say enough good things about the hostess, Niah (I'm guessing on the spelling). She was extremely friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be going back. This place is specialMore

My husband and I went into this establishment yesterday and ordered three lunches for takeout. They were the worst lunches we’ve ever had. Two chicken finger platters and a brisket sandwich. The chicken fingers were completely burned and over cooked, and appeared to be re-fried...old chicken. The coating was dark and on the edge of burned with hard skin sticking up from it. Every single piece was like that and they had no problem giving it to us in our to go order. The side orders were tasteless. The macaroni and cheese was nothing but a cream sauce which tasted of no cheese, and the coleslaw was dry, limp, with little to no dressing on it. My husband’s brisket sandwich was so so, and his beans as a side dish appeared to taste like canned beans with a little bacon thrown in. We paid $52 for those three lunch items. Absolutely outrageous to begin with, more or less for three really crappy meals. Do not waste your money at this establishment.More

Wister’s Barbecue (formerly Smoke Daddy’s) is a no frills place with some of the best barbecue I have ever had. Order and pay up front, grab you drinks, and find a table. The food is brought to you at the table. I almost always grab...one of their specials and wasn’t disappointed with the beef short rib platter. Three HUGE ribs were tender, juicy, and delicious. I was able to pack away two of the ribs, but would have been full splitting the ribs with a friend or two. The owner is friendly and willing to chat about the food or just things happening around town. Definitely a favorite spot. When the ribs showed up, they looked and smelled so goodI dug in before realizing I should have taken the picture first.More

Everything was delicious. I jad the pulled pork sandwich. Hubs had the brisket. I just wish I was able to eat more! My picky 2 year old even ate a decent part of her meal. Also, we didn't know it was BYOB, so you can...be darn sure we will be back, especially since Round Guys is practically across the street.More

Moved away for 6 years now, and our son wanted to take us to this great new bbq place on Main St. We walked out town, and I was quite happy when we rolled up to Smoke Daddys. The food is awesome, as is always...was, and the service was great! You can't miss, if bbq is your thing, you might as well have the best! Go to Smoke Daddys!More

Ok this was a place I'd been thinking of trying for a while. It's one of those places that when you walk by it, especially on a cold day, the scent is so wonderful you want to run right it. My wife and I finally...turned out and gave it a try. A part from the fact is it BYOB, the place was pretty much all I could want in a BBQ joint. The designed is sort of a rustic, 1960's retro look with long tables set with bucket loaded with sauce and rolls of paper towels. The staff is friendly and it goes for a minimalist approach. at least for decor. The food is fast, plentiful and good with large serving. Be advised it should be taken seriously when they say the food is hot. I had the 'hot southern mess' and when they tell you the sauce is their hot BBQ, THEY MEAN IT ! I had to sort of ease into it and I enjoyed it but I was a little worried I might not have any lips left when I was done. My wife had a chicken dish and while she said it was hot, it was no more so than you'd expect good BBQ to be having a nice tang to it. The fried rib appetizer seemed like a crime against nature when I saw it on the menu, but I gave it a try, collecting evidence of course, and found the dry heat had concentrated the pork flavor wonderfully. we'd put off going here for a while, despite the WONDERFUL smells, maybe we were afraid it couldn't live up to those scents but when we finally went on in. Did it ever live up to them. Yes they don't have a liquor license but you can bring your own and when you're tired of being neglected by the ineffectual staffs of chain places "Smokey Bones" and "Chili's" bring your desire for great BBQ here. you will not be disappointed!More

This is the real deal BBQ joint. I loved everything about this place. The hostess was helpful and clearly passionate about the food. I’ve never seen my husband so happy ad he was when he discovered their pull pork sandwich. The brisket was equally good....The collard greens were super flavorful. The fries are spectacular. The price is right and we didn’t travel to wait long. Great place!More

My parents just had their Halloween party catered by Smoke Daddys over the weekend, and the food was out of this world! They had three large trays, one pulled pork, one pulled chicken and one brisket. There were also sides of bbq sauce and a...large tray of macaroni and cheese. While I can’t speak for my parent’s experience directly I will say from what I saw and the food I ate, this place is all around awesome. Two very kind gentlemen dropped everything off to the house and made sure my parents were all set up and happy. The food was a huge success and the best smoked pork I have ever tasted. My parents were so happy and the guests loved everything! Thank you Smoke Daddys!!!More

We just voted this the Best BBQ in the area. It is all on-site cooked with flavors you can only dream of till now. I love the Saturday & Sunday Brunch (buffet) from 10 am to 1 PM. They also start serving the regular menu...at 11 am both days. Try eating the brisket first without any BBQ sauce. It is really that good and tender. Their menu covers sausage, ribs, chicken and more. Once you try it, you'll want to go back. Wonderfully friendly folks as well!More

Just like visiting your aunt that lives hours away, customers are greeted upon entry by one of the sweetest ladies you will ever meet. Orders are taken there, and you are able to self-seat following placing your order. The dining room itself is simple, yet...clean. All tables contain metal buckets that contain 3 different sauces (all marked) and a giant roll of paper towels. Beverages are self serve. The food gets delivered to your table... fast! I have visited this place 2 times and probably waited no more than 5-10 minutes each time for my food to arrive. Portion sizes are great and the taste is even better. Price is on par with the food being served. A platter with my choice of 2 sides was around $19. Worth every penny if you ask me. When finished eating, simply walk away and your table is cleared for you. I have done extensive traveling and have eaten in many different establishments. For these reasons I feel justified when saying that this is a really cool restaurant with really good food. Visit and see for yourself! Warning: Lansdale is one of the few towns that still has coin metered parking on the streets. Street parking is the best option for this restaurant. Either bring quarters or ask for change inside. 4 quarters equals 1 hour of time as of the posting of this review.More

I have been here three times now, the food is excellent as agreed to by the friends I recommend go here. Of course you can never go wrong with a place that hand cuts their French Fries Only wish they had a seafood or vegetarian...selection so I could go more frequently, my wife won't eat meat. Also keep them in mind for take out but have them vent the container with the french fries or that get soggy.More
