Made a reservation 2 weeks in advance to celebrate a birthday on a Friday evening. Hostess greeted us warmly on arrival and acknowledged the fact that there was a birthday. The waiter knew nothing of this as we later discovered. This was fine as no production was necessary. I had asked when I made a reservation for a quiet table... More
Our dinner was amazing. The staff was friendly and provided great service. I would definitely recommend it and will return next time we visit.
Nice atmosphere and good service. The menu is somewhat limited. My salmon dish and my wife's chicken dish were excellent, but pricey. We were extremely disappointed in the wine serving which was very small! The fried ice cream is great. Mixed review with return questionable.
I hadn't been to Lancaster, PA in more than 20 years, so when I had the opportunity to visit on my return from New Jersey, I couldn't resist. Overall, I found the "Amish" restaurants to be nothing more than tourist traps, primarily geared to large numbers arriving on tour buses. On the advice of a local travel information employee, I... Dinner and atmosphere were lovely. Beautiful gardens outside, live music (jazz piano) inside. Disappointment was that there were many unexpected "add-on's" to the bill: $5.50 for Cesar salad upgrade, $3 each for mushrooms and onions. The couple next to us thought they ordered a bottle of wine for $24 but it turns out it was per glass so the bottle... More
The food was excellent. The staff was rude, the toilets were broken and the air conditioning did not cool the room. The staff made no apologies at all and what should have been a lovely event for my group of 21 was instead, disappointing. One can't fault the waitress if the food is bad, yet if the food is good... We went to Greenfield because the local newspaper said they had received high marks from Wine Spectator magazine for their wine selection. There was a zinfandel featured on the menu and I asked our waitress if it was red or white. She had to go check. We decided to go with it and when the "wine steward" brought out the... More
My husband and I can not stress how much we love dining at the Greenfield. Classy for dinner. Low key with piano music in the bar for HH. Do yourself a favor and try it next time you are in Lancaster. Only negative is the extremely limited bar space.
