Best pizza in Lancaster

My wife and I just finished our Sunday dinner at Venice. Cheese pizza well done, breaded mushrooms and Jamaican slushy. Excellent service, friendly staff , outstanding owner and always … always consistently good food. We eat at Venice about every 3-4 weeks. We have eaten here for a number of years and drive past a couple of other average pizza parlors to go to Venice because of the consistently high quality . During the Covid lockdown, Venice offered takeout and we would dine in our vehicle in the parking lot to help alleviate the stress and depression of the lockdown. I can never thank the owner and staff for this wonderful service.

This was the first time I visited Venice Pizza. I’m not one to write reviews, but the pizza was so delicious that I felt compelled to write one. The crust was outstanding, the toppings were plentiful and the price was reasonable. The restaurant staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this place.

The folks here seem awfully nice and treated us us well. The pizza was good but not cooked the whole way through. Kinda doughy. I guess we should have asked for extra crispy. Other than that there was plenty of cheese and were did ok.

If you are looking for a full service, sit down Italian restaurant - this isn't it. They have an extensive menu with many offerings from pizza to pasta to sandwiches. You can also carry out beer. The Seafood Pizza was OK, the Stuffed Shells were good but overall my party wasn't over whelmed with the food. The service was fair to OK. The dining room is open, it is a seat yourself, bus your own table set up. Nothing fancy but it was clean. Travelling thru the area and really wanted Italian food. Pulled their menu up on line - with all the offerings and variety it looks great. My Stuffed Shells were fresh made and served to me in an aluminum pan with a common paper plate and cheap plastic fork..... Definitely not the level of service expected or desired. I am not sure if this is the norm or COVID related. You can buy pizza by the slice and they had a wide variety of that ready. I would not go back.

Found rubber band in chicken cheesesteak yesterday ordered from door dash employee said manager will call you never did because door dash refunded half of the bill seriously? Done going there my daughter in law almost swallowed whole rubber band thank god she pulled out of her mouth

Antipasto salad !!!!

We have been customers of Venice for over 10 years. They never disappoint. Recently, we tried their antipasto salad and were blown away by the flavor and the enormous portion. Their pizza is fantastic, but don’t miss their salads!

First time! Very good!

We went with another couple for sandwiches at dinner time. The Cheesesteak and the Italian stromboli were excellent. The portions were large enough to take hal home in a box. The dining room was clean and inviting. Service by Sherinooo was very good. Good conversation with good friends over good food.

Great food at reasonable prices!

Went here for dinner and was not disappointed. My turkey club was packed with turkey and everything else that goes in a turkey club. We ordered at the counter, had a seat and our food was brought to us at the booth we sat at.

over price low quality

ordered pizza, daughter wanted a buffo chicken, when picked up was told price, I lost it. found out that buffalo chicken was considered "specialty" and cost $48. Others have said they go there and should have been $28. Still way to much. Paid out of feeling obligated, daughter said it was "okay, but definatly not the best, She said if she had clue it was going to be that bad she would have got one from Popa's. I defiantly did not like at all, but don't like buffalo style anyhow.

Our family has been customers of this shop for over 15 years. It is owned and operated by a lovely family who provide their customers with efficient, friendly service; high quality food; generous servings; fair prices on a diverse menu; and an immaculately clean, pleasant location. Beer is available for those who enjoy a beer with their meal or for take-out. The spinach and mushroom white pizza is the best!!! Their antipasto salads are also amazing. Go and enjoy!

Great pizza, love the salads and friendly staff

Venice Pizza always has a ready supply of different slices available. I'm an ex-New Yorker and very picky about my slices. I love trying new things and have not been disappointed at Venice. My wife and I usually throw a large Greek salad in the order to share. After placing your order the staff delivers your food to your table with a smile. A place I will continue to return to for some of the best pizza around... Note: It can get VERY busy around dinner time on Fridays and weekends but it's worth the wait!

Worst pizza I ever ate, by far

I ate at Venice Pizza once on a business trip to Lancaster. It may have been a bad day for them (perhaps key personnel were out sick), but the pizza they served me was so salty that I couldn't eat it. Seriously, it tasted like someone had marinated it in seawater. How can you screw up a pizza? Go to Venice and find out.

Overpriced, unhappy and unfriendly staff and nickle and dime nonsense

we had eaten at Venice Pizza several times. Actually the pizza is pretty darn good. But, Every time we are there...it is almost like the staff is doing US a favor by taking our $$ for their precious food. I don't think any cooks, staff or the owner are able to smile and be friendly. the last straw was when I brought our low functioning autistic child to the shop. Bad move! the nasty looks I received from staff because of my daughter making noise was unforgivable. On top of that insult...I came to find out that every time that we had ordered "extra sauce" on our pizza.......they charged me for an extra topping. Talk about nickel and dime petty nonsense $$ grab. Never eat there again. But, they won't care...they are providing us customers a big favor by "letting" us buy their grub. Never again!!!!!!
