Carr's is one of those places that won't make the top spot in Lancaster County dining, but again, you cannot go wrong. The Chef/owner focuses on wine and fresh ingredients. For those not from Lancaster, the Lancaster County PA Dutch side of the menu will provide a good example of the local cuisine. As a Lancaster native, I don't order from... More

Went to Carr's before attending a play at the Fulton Theater, Told them we were operating with a time constraint. So were many of the other patrons. Excellent food and service. Both had seafood dishes. When in town, will definitely return.

Carr has a nice atmosphere and the service was very good. The food was prepared well, but the meals were a bit bland. The crab cakes were full of crab meat, without a lot of seasoning or herbs. The shepherds pie was more like mash potatoes in vegetable soup. Overall nice experience, just not the most flavorful.

We went here on a Saturday night for dinner. Very busy, so make sure to make reservations. Very nice setting, with all the dining rooms downstairs below grade. Wonderful wild mushroom ravioli. But my husband said his crab cake was mostly filler. Very good service, we were never rushed but the waiter was always there when we needed him. They... More

The service was low, it took 45 minutes to get our drinks, and another 15 minutes before our order was taken. The service was slow. There were six of us, and we finally were served dessert 2 hours after we arrived. Our waiter disappeared after dessert and we had to track in down for the check..

I was seeing a show and had about 45 minutes to grab a drink and something to eat. Walked by Carr's and thought I'd give it a try. I sat at the bar and was greeted very warmly by the bartender. Totally quiet and subdued environment -- exactly what I was looking for. Quick glass of nice red wine and... More

Last minute dinner-husband had filet and I had Cobb salad -both were very very good. Pizza appetizer was delicious. Good wine list-a little expensive but food quality was well worth it. Will definitely go back.

I finally got to experience the famous Carr's with family on Sunday after church. There were many things to like with a few that were strange. The Carr's omelet was wonderful, and our server was one of the nicest people you could meet. I struggled to get over the fact that we were eating in a basement without windows on... More

My wife and I and 2 other couples dined at this warm, cozy and yummy restaurant recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is located right near the Lancaster central market so easy to find and plenty of parking nearby. We were greeted and seated promptly by a friendly receptionist and very attentive waiter Franklin. All 6 of us agreed the... More

We were a party of 4 and enjoyed a well prepared, tasty meal. The service was excellent. Noise level at Carr's is low so conversation is easy. A large selection of wine is available by the glass. All in all, a great place for dinner.
