Very friendly staff, great service. Lots of staff too. Some touches like you might usually only see in expensive places (cleaning table top of crumbs between courses, hot towels to clean your hands before dessert, a few candies with the check). Tomato basil bisque –...very good, traditional. Halibut special with basamati rice – also very good, tasty, Salmon with whipped potatoes – another winner. Overall a very elegant choice without breaking the bank.More

We went to Gilbraltar's for a special occasion. A fine dining night out, a date with my lovely wife. We both enjoyed our experience including a wonderful meal. From the appetizers to the main entree and dessert, delicious and pleasurable.

From the greeting at the door to the end of the meal, everything was fantastic. Atmosphere is beautiful, service superb, food is excellent. I started with the beet salad special which they accommodated my request to substitute blue cheese with goat cheese. For my entree...I had the fish special which was an Australian fish with a rice medley and spiralized zucchini. The fish melted in my mouth and was amazing. My husband started with the crab chowder that was the perfect consistency and delicious. His entree was lobster pasta that was also delicious. For dessert we had the chocolate lava cake and the vanilla ice cream with almonds, espresso and Kahlua.More

This was my second trip to Gibraltar. My first visit was during Covid and while the meal was good it wasn’t super memorable (as were most things during this time). My husband and I opted to try it again since it’s close to our home...and we are very happy we did! The drinks were good, we both enjoyed our food (I had a halibut special that was light but flavorful) and our waiter was attentive. It’s pricy, so not in our wheelhouse for an every week meal but we will be back. The host (assumed owner or manager) was very friendly.More

We made a reservation and had to eat much earlier than we wanted but man was it worth it. Our waiter Graham was perfect. He knew so much about the menu and how things were prepared. Granted we ordered the Gibraltar seafood tower and there...was just two of us. The oysters were fantastic! the scotch selection was wonderful. We tried the laphroig cask strength and it was fabulous. I am a desert expert. Their cherry cheesecake is possibly the best I have ever had. The almond crust in lieu of graham cracker was genius. So thank you for an unforgettable dinner experience. If you are in Lancaster and want the best and do not eat here you are missing outMore

My family and I enjoyed this restaurant so much the last time we were in town I made a point to return. And again, we were far from disappointed. The ambiance is very nice, the quality and service are refined and far above par and...the food and drink quality are exceptional. I enjoyed an excellent strip steak that was cooked perfectly and with two small children we appreciate a children's menu that is moderately priced and hit the spot. As I mentioned in a previous review the wine list is quite large and had something for most everyone. I can't think of any negatives and I'll gladly pay a premium for quality, ambiance, and service that are non existent in the chain-operated human feed mills. I see a lot of reviews mentioning this is a special occasion destination and I thank the good Lord above we've yet to suffer the indignity of a gaggle of clapping teenagers chanting "heppy heppy buuurthday" at a table near us. If you want silly and adolescent displays then you should frequent the chain joints. If you want professionalism and quality then visit Gibraltar. I'll be back.More

The Good: We arrived fifteen minutes ahead of our reservation and they took us to a table quickly. Our server, Kiera, was very good. Enjoyed my Pomegranate Marga-Tini. Friendly staff. At the end of the meal, our server brought two heated linen hand towels on...a plate, with two slices of lemon. She explained that you squeeze the lemon on the towels and wipe your hands. Sadly, this was the best part of the meal. The Not So Good: Service was very slow, and it seemed that our server had several tables to attend to. My caesar salad had no flavor and no discernible parmesan. It was a plate of torn up romaine lettuce dressed with what tasted and looked like watered-down mayonnaise. My husband’s salmon entree wasn’t warm, and the sweet potato purée, also cold, rendering it inedible. My fettuccini with lobster was warm, but where was the lobster? There were literally two small pieces of lobster, one about the size of a quarter and the other about the size of a nickel. The sauce was creamy and bland.; left most of it on the plate. Dessert was the chocolate lava cake, which was more of a pudding cake, but it wasn’t anything special. It’s understandable that good food and service often come at a premium, but paying $30 for cold entrees that lack main ingredients is beyond disappointing. Won’t return.More

Servers and staff care about your experience. Wine is mostly reasonably priced by the bottle, expensive by the glass. Food is always great; really great. We eat out several times a week at upscale locations, and this is a very very reliable great meal. I...LOVE that the owner manager Sal is there during all the busy times and it makes a difference. He seems to run a very tight ship and it shows. In these times of hiring difficulties he is doing really well and there is probably a reason! Kudos! We have one negative comment and that is the ambience is casual - busy and we'd prefer quiet romantic sometimes, That is unavailable here, but you can't have it all. I go wherever Sal was running the show! I don't him, but I see the results.More

I unexpectedly found this place on Google Maps while looking for a restaurant near my hotel. I'm glad I found it and my family and I had a nice dinner there. The ambiance is excellent. The facility is new, clean, and inviting. The menu is...above average and the wine list is extensive, varied, and has something for nearly every taste and budget. The prices were on par with quality restaurants for the area and I'll gladly pay a premium for good quality and service. Our server was professional, available, and knowledgeable. That gets a premium tip too. The meal was excellent, of high quality, and prepared properly. If, like me, you are disgusted with all the chain joints with rubber meat, loud, drunk, and boorish clientele, amateur service, and a rushed experience, then this restaurant is for you. This restaurant is highly recommended.More

Service was excellent from the moment we walked in, taken to our table, given menus, and told our server would be there shortly. Our server made the entire dinner more enjoyable. Lobster tacos were a great appetizer. Cocktails were well made and both the Tuna...Tataki and the Halibut were delicious. Only criticism is the restaurant can be fairly noisy. Could use some sound absorption.More
