Everytime we choose to eat here, our experience is always exceeded by the fresh ingredients and taste that comes to your table to enjoy. We love the service and care to be authentic but up-to-date. You may have to wait, but it is well worth it...or call ahead if you are a planner.

While the prices here are much higher than your average Mexican Restaurant, the food has always been well prepared and service is above average. Also, their margarita selection is excellent and always good. If you are interested in tapas (small plates), try the Tapas Bar upstairs. Again, the prices are very good. They have also renovated the place, and it... More

This is a beautiful and inviting restaurant. The center courtyard is very nice. Tapas is upstairs. Their lunch menu is good and economical. Their chips and salsa are very good. We both had fajitas. My friend had chicken and I had the vegetarian which were really good. Our service was good even though we were outside by ourselves. I would... More

Our family had a dinner party of 14! From the time we ordered until our entree's arrived 1 hr. 22!! Our waiter was very kind but overwhelmed! The Manager was aware of him struggling but did nothing about it! We had to ask for water, and tea and drinks! He was in the weeds from the time we sat down!... More

Our daughter took us here at couple of years ago, and we have made an effort to keep going back. I really can't find fault in anything, the food, service, and atmosphere are all great! I guess ithe could be a little noisy due to everyone having a good time, but how do you complain about that. I have never... More

We had a wonderful lunch here last weekend. My pork chop was so juicy and yummy. Two of us had a good meal but the floors were messy. We can see the waiters seemed all young (teenagers) so they probably don't want to clean the floor unless told to? Other than that, the experience was good. We would bring our... More

We started off with their chips and homemade salsa. The Salsa is the best we have ever eaten. Their Pescado Frito fish dish is fabulous. Big piece of fish with rice and lentils. An excellent Peruvian dish!! My wife likes the Chicken Taco Salad. Check out their menu for other great food dishes. Never had a bad meal!! There is... More

As my wife and I celebrated our 4th anniversary we wanted to try something more familiar since we are both Latin American. I'm from Ecuador and I love Peruvian food so this seemed like a good choice based on reviews. We couldn't get over how beautiful this place was!!! Every little detail was perfect! I started with a ceviche and... More

It's been over six years since I have dined at El Serrano Restaurant, and the food was better than I remembered, if that's possible! Chips and salsa were fresh and delightful; Margarita's were perfect; dinner was timed perfectly and delicious! The wait was worth it - and there is almost always a wait.

Exterior of the building tells you this is authentic! 3 separate restaurants under 1 roof. We choose El Serrano section. Perfectly decorated, including tile fountain in the entrance. Just love all the stained glass windows. Recommend Fresh & Dirty cocktail. Ceviche was absolutely delightful. Has a spicy kick but just right, not overpowering. Gambas al Ajillo was one of the... If you haven't visited El Serrano along Lancaster's Columbia Avenue lately, you haven't visited El Serrano. Or, perhaps it is more appropriate to say, you haven't visited Peru. Every square inch of the Latin-American restaurant has been extensively redesigned, upgraded and refurbished authentically, with architectural details similar to those of 150 years ago--to the point that stepping through its hand-carved mahogany doors is like entering a Peruvian hacienda. As owner Manuel Torres says, "it's like going on vacation."
