About
The first thing you notice when pulling in the entrance of the Heritage Hotel parking lot is the incredibly unique addition to this Lancaster landmark. To call it a deck or a patio doesn't do this two-story structure justice. Imagine dining in the most impressive tree house ever built. The open layout and the use of the natural environment give a feeling of submersion in nature, a theme that is consistent throughout Loxley's. The inside of the restaurant is unlike anything that has ever been seen in Central Pennsylvania. The massive bar is encrusted with arrowheads and surrounds a tree growing through the center of the room. Ambient lighting on the natural wood walls adds to the feeling of natural splendor. It is the epitome of the dining "experience", mixing Heritage Hill's well-known culinary expertise and exceptional service with ambiance that will leave everyone amazed.

Typically, I like writing positive reviews, but this was our first time going here, and the service wasn't good. 430pm on a Saturday, and they seemed out of sorts already, a few minutes to figure out where to seat us. After being seated, it was another 10 or so until our drink order was taken, then another 15 for a food order. I ordered a salad with Caesar dressing but I got a Caesar salad, his salad was okay but that was after correcting her when she said Caesar salad. I'm glad I like Caesar salad... Our meals were delivered by a delightful young man. My order could have been warmer. What are the small plates for on the tables? I'm not impressed with the service. We did see a neighboring table get forgotten!

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here. Excellent!!! Everything 5 star. Starting with the sales manager who made the arrangements uncomplicated and reviewed available choices in detail, then the food and table set up when arrived was perfect as was the setting ( the copper tables!) , the servers were fantastic, pleasant and efficient and competent the bar tender welcoming, capable and made everyone feel at home and the food fabulous! Would highly recommend this venue.

The restaurant looks like a treehouse, with 2 levels and mostly outdoor seating. It has a beautiful koi pond outside, and provides food to feed the koi. Both kids and adults had fun feeding the fish. The food was American and British, with a great fish and chips, crab dip, lots of burgers, wraps, curry, and cottage pies. Seating was also available indoors, and it is attached to the Heritage Hotel, and next to the Dutch apple theater - GREAT location. Lots of seating, large restaurant. Also had Gluten Free items & desserts.

Outside dining area is great. very inviting area. Food is less than terrible. If I could leave 1/4 star I would have. Grand daughter ordered from kids menu. Over cooked chicken tenders that were anything but tender. Crab dip was Luke warm at best and I think they only showed it a crab as there was none in the dip. Ordered the bacon burger medium. (Called the Upper House Burger). Was so overdone, the Montreal Canadians could have used it for a puck. Wife’s Caesar salad with chicken was not good either. Asked for dressing on the side. Came on it and the chicken was as dry as you could possibly make it. I can easily say this is the last time I’ll ever come here. STAY AWAY !!!

I visited this restaurant the last weekend in July of 2022 I and was looking forward to eating here with my family because of the pretty scenery and what I thought were good reviews. However the night quickly turned sour as the food we were given was very bland. There was no flavor at all and honestly I think a little bit of salt and pepper may have gone along way with some of the food that we ordered. I also ordered a margarita that was very watered down and I could not taste the tequila at all. When I mentioned this to the waitress she brought me a shot of tequila to add to my drink however they did charge me for that shot even though it was their mistake in making an awful drink. I also want to mention that the steak that my son and boyfriend ordered had no flavor and was very bland. We paid $34 for each steak so I was not happy about this. My food was OK but again was lacking flavor. I’m not sure who’s in charge of making the meals in the kitchen but they need a serious overhaul. My total dinner bill was $130 for food that had no taste and a watered down margarita. I will not be visiting this establishment again which I am bummed about because this particular restaurant is so beautiful and plus they had a live band which I appreciated listening to during dinner. Please think about redoing your menu or getting somebody else to cook for this restaurant because they have a lot they could learn.

The venue is great. We have been going there for several years. I was very disappointed with the cheesesteak (beef). It was very fatty and gristly. This was the first time I had this here, as I had previously always had the chicken cheesesteak, which was always great. I had asked for this chicken cheesesteak, but the server said is no longer on the menu. Hence, I went to the beef version. I was very disappointed. After the meal, when asked my opinion, I told the server (who was excellent under tough manpower conditions). I highly recommend this server and all servers we have had. My negative experience is with the lack of understanding that when people want meat in a sandwich, they don't want fat and gristle that has been chopped up until it cannot be picked-out.

We looked at reviews and their website and thought it would be a good place for lunch on Veterans Day. We asked for a Caesar Salad with light dressing and more dressing on the side. We received a salad with quite brown edged lettuce with a lot of dressing. We received a salmon burger we both took a bite out of and knew we couldn't eat it. It was oily and sour and undercooked. We were not charged and we left to eat elsewhere.

My sister and I made Sunday brunch reservations for 8 people at 11 AM, and we were clear we would be coming for brunch. We wanted to sit outside on the beautiful deck and celebrate our first time out to eat with my parents since before COVID shutdowns began. The parking lot was not very full on arrival, and there were plenty of visible empty tables all around. When we arrived, they did not seem to be aware of our reservation. After several minutes of them moving tables, they sat us out front by the parking lot, downwind of the smoking station (with two small kids) and without shade, aside from one umbrella for all of us. Before we were even seated, we asked for other seating, and we were told, with an attitude, that the table we got was all that they had. No apologies or even any explanation were given. Brunch menus were not offered, and we sat for a few minutes, ungreeted and breathing in smoke before we decided to leave and go elsewhere. The only reason for the second star is that we have had good experiences at Loxley's in the past. But, after this, we will not consider this restaurant for a group this size again.

This was my second time here and this is my second review. Food is still delicious and very good service. This time it was beautiful weather and we got to sit outside, which was very pleasant. We had all loved it here on our first time, which was an unexpected find. This time, we were going to the Turkey Hill Experience and this is not too far so we planned our day to include this for a late lunch/early dinner. So glad it was still as good as the first time.

We had a group of about 50 staying at the hotel and the package included daily breakfasts, a dinner and a lunch at the Loxley. Its an old English motif and has indoor and outdoor tables. Breakfasts were sit down with the waitress bringing the food to the table. While the selection was limited, it was delicious. And Heather, the waitress, was wonderful. She had a full load of people and was running like crazy but there wasn't a complaint from her and she was extremely competent and friendly. In fact all the wait staff went out of their way to make the customers happy. Mathew had all of us laughing at dinner. And Erinn was a sweetheart. My food was very good. The 1st night I had the Uptown Burger. The 2nd I had the pork chops with apple topping. I will say that the broccoli I substituted for fries with the burger were too undercooked for my taste. Otherwise everything was delicious.

Of the four people that eat dinner there on Wednesday evening, three decided to order the ribs. The gravy covering the ribs was very sweet and not tasty at all. There was no other seasoning or rub on the ribs just the sickey sweet gravy. The french fries were delicious but the cole slaw could have used some seasoning also. Not worth the price. One of our group ordered the fish and chips and enjoyed them.

Happened to pick this restaurant due to it being so close and we were starving. Lucky pick! We loved how it looked to begin with, our server Danielle was wonderful and the food was absolutely delicious. We all had drinks and dessert along with our entrees and loved everything and loved it all. Will definitely come back again when out this way.

My wife and I stayed at the adjoining Heritage Hotel and had breakfast 2 mornings at Loxley. You would think that a restaurant breakfast would be way better than a hotel breakfast. If this is what you thought, you’d be incredibly mistaken. Breakfast at a sleazy Motel 6 would be better. The eggs were tasteless and the pancakes like rubber. Nothing tasted fresh, except the oatmeal. It was just really bad and crazy disappointing. At least it didn’t cost us anything extra, as the breakfast was included in the hotel package. Trust me, you’d be much better off and happier by simply going to the Dunkin right next door.

Our first time to this wonderful hidden gem off Centerville Road & attached to the Heritage Hotel. There is indoor and outdoor seating with a treehouse like atmosphere as the decking surrounds an ancient oak tree. The second level of the tree house has 2 small private alcoves and a large area for group parties. We sat on the first level with a lovely breeze and a view of the Crepe Myrtles in bloom. The menu is extensive. I had the pulled pork sandwich and my husband had the meatloaf. They seem to be well known for their meatloaf that appeared to be grilled. The food was delicious & we cannot wait to return to try other items on the menu. They serve COKE products & wine prices were reasonable. Our server was Kay who was pleasant, friendly & attentive. One of her greatest attributes was her smile; when she smiled, the entire place lit up. Loxley’s is beyond blessed to have such a truly lovely young woman in their employ. What a beautiful attitude! Add the atmosphere and good reasonably priced food, which you can find in some places, to Kay, a rare exceptional worker, and Loxley’s cannot be matched. We will return with friends.

Went for dinner with my husband for our anniversary, we heard all the good stuff about this place. Maybe we came on a bad night the service was sloooowwww , I ordered the salmon And my husband the bangers and mash With broccoli . The portion of my salmon was tiny and when I asked the server she went and check in the kitchen and came back to tell m thats its a 6 oz portion which didnt look like it , I told her it looks more like a 4 or 5 at the most she didn't say anything but enjoy your meal . Which kinda left me astonished, mind you the salmon cost $24 . Then the mash potatoes was supposed to be garlic flavored but felt that they put garlic powder , it wasn't good. Never got a single refill on my drink, since she didn't bothered to come and check on us bit to bring our food . Our experience wasnt great , I won't return or even recommend this place .
