About
The first thing you notice when pulling in the entrance of the Heritage Hotel parking lot is the incredibly unique addition to this Lancaster landmark. To call it a deck or a patio doesn't do this two-story structure justice. Imagine dining in the most impressive tree house ever built. The open layout and the use of the natural environment give a feeling of submersion in nature, a theme that is consistent throughout Loxley's. The inside of the restaurant is unlike anything that has ever been seen in Central Pennsylvania. The massive bar is encrusted with arrowheads and surrounds a tree growing through the center of the room. Ambient lighting on the natural wood walls adds to the feeling of natural

We stopped in about 5 on a Thursday. You approach the restaurant through a lovely landscape and a koi pond. We were seated promptly but bring your sweater/coat...it appears that most of the seating is outdoors except for the bar area and a room for...groups. We were offered a paper menu or opportunity to use our cell phone to access a menu...we used the paper. Considering the virus, the menu seemed to have something for everyone. Our waiter, Will was personable and attentive. I ordered the meatloaf and was rather disappointed. It was dry and served basically at room temperature. It came with garlic mashed potatoes which were good and crispy onion straws which were good. My husband ordered the cottage pie and loved it. It was served piping hot. Portions were huge. We took half of the cottage pie home and had no room for dessert. Seems to be large selection of liquor, beer and cocktails. Killed two spotted lantern flies while we waited for our dinner.More

This was the best food I have had the whole 2 weeks we have been traveling. My husband loved his meal also. Loved the atmosphere with outdoor dining.I tried some of his fries. After raising 2 kids fries are almost makes me nauseous. These were...great. Our waitress was great. My husband had a mushroom hamburger with fries. I had Phillysteak and salad. All was perfect. We have enough left over for supper. We added 2 soft drinks. Bill with tip was 45.36.More

Matty Smokes was a friendly waiter. He was humorous and attentive. He provided comic relief in a professional manner. Our party of 4 included my wife, sister in law, and my 83 yo YOUNG mother in law. Other than late rolls, that came hot snd...tasty, and cold served sweet potato fries with birthday girl's sandwich, the meals and drinks were satisfactory. The ambience in outdoor seating and the distance between tables gave the feeling that we had the place to ourselves. It helped to be there on a Wednesday afternoon. Love and laughter rang out in our group. Memorable family event memorialized with Matty Smokes help in him taking our group photos. Good food. Good service. Good location. Good times.More

Went for dinner with my husband for our anniversary, we heard all the good stuff about this place. Maybe we came on a bad night the service was sloooowwww , I ordered the salmon And my husband the bangers and mash With broccoli . The...portion of my salmon was tiny and when I asked the server she went and check in the kitchen and came back to tell m thats its a 6 oz portion which didnt look like it , I told her it looks more like a 4 or 5 at the most she didn't say anything but enjoy your meal . Which kinda left me astonished, mind you the salmon cost $24 . Then the mash potatoes was supposed to be garlic flavored but felt that they put garlic powder , it wasn't good. Never got a single refill on my drink, since she didn't bothered to come and check on us bit to bring our food . Our experience wasnt great , I won't return or even recommend this place .More

Probably the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. My husband had the peasant burger and it was also delicious. The tacos were just spicy enough and a party for your mouth. Our waitress was Taylor and she was terrific! Great stop for outdoor dining.

My night was ruined! Thought this would be a great outdoor dinning experience. Service & Food were on the slow side. BUT not my complaint! Lady 2 tables away sat there throwing up into a bag, repeatedly. Several other tables also said something to staff...about the situation. When the food came we had lost our appetite. On the way out we ask if there was no manager on duty because the lady was not being removed. They claimed there was & that they were taking care of it.... We stayed in the parking lot talking. 1/2 hour later the 🤮 table was finally leaving.More

Good morning and thank you for your feedback. We apologize for your inadequate experience. I understand that the management team was trying to come up with a solution convenient for all. Situations like this are most times difficult to quickly navigate. Every customer is important...More

We had a group of about 50 staying at the hotel and the package included daily breakfasts, a dinner and a lunch at the Loxley. Its an old English motif and has indoor and outdoor tables. Breakfasts were sit down with the waitress bringing the...food to the table. While the selection was limited, it was delicious. And Heather, the waitress, was wonderful. She had a full load of people and was running like crazy but there wasn't a complaint from her and she was extremely competent and friendly. In fact all the wait staff went out of their way to make the customers happy. Mathew had all of us laughing at dinner. And Erinn was a sweetheart. My food was very good. The 1st night I had the Uptown Burger. The 2nd I had the pork chops with apple topping. I will say that the broccoli I substituted for fries with the burger were too undercooked for my taste. Otherwise everything was delicious.More

The ambiance is good, but amidst covid, prices for what one gets has sky rocketed. A chicken cheesesteak with fries must be about 30% less food and the the hard seltzer was about 30% ice. The server was fine, we tip well, but it is...not worth the priceMore
