Always enjoy coming to Kevins. They provide excellent service and great food that is presented very well! Tammy the bartender makes an awesome Carmel Apple Martini and anything else you can think of! Melissa is a very attentive waitress and remembers you each time you come in and remembers your wine that you drank last time. Such a great personality! Frank is always attentive to make sure everything is exactly the way you want it and has great wine recommendations as well We absolutely love coming here

Great cocktails, okay food, high prices

The clubby atmosphere and solid service were eclipsed by surprisingly bland flavors and high prices. Interesting menu. And their cocktails were a stand-out. But we came for the food…and found it “m’kay” but fundamentally lacking that distinction and flavor that matches high prices. Sure it’s fun, and it can get a little loud, and there’s a lot of positive energy. Just don’t expect dishes that reach much beyond the three star level.

Amazing

I worked in the service industry for 25 years in the Scranton area , that being said , I rarely , if ever feel that I get back the service that I have given out over the years. Kevin's is the exception . This place is a gem . Chill atmosphere , cool music , great lighting , and exceptional service . GM serving and clearing alongside staff , amazing food , great wine selection . I can't say enough good things about this place .Try and get to a wine pairing if you can , they are stellar.

Expensive for average food

Place was busy which made me think the food would be good. I have been going here sporadically over the last 10-15 years through different owners etc. I was never blown away by any of the food but gave it another shot. I will say, I recognize most of the staff, which tells me that they are treated well and make good tips for good service. The service was very good. Drinks we good. I do also like the atmosphere. The food we ordered was expensive and below average. One was a special scallop ravioli and the other was off the menu. Both were expensive and neither was even average in taste. I consider myself a foodie and I do cook a decent amount myself and the flavor was off on both dishes. Anyway, it is a nice bar, and like I said, the servers are all good. I would not recommend for dinner.

Don't Bother

I thought we would try a new restaurant in the area My mom is handicapped therefore called for a take out order I was told they were too busy to do take out but I guess when you own most of the restaurants in the valley, you don't need the money unfortunately the customer service is one thing you can't buy. I never was turned away from a restaurant like that..I will never visit any of this man's establishments due to the rudness and will definitely spread the word. My order would have been at least $100, the Bistro down the road was happy to take my order..

Rude and ignorant.

We made a reservation for 8:30pm, but unfortunately we arrived at 8:48pm because of the severe storm - we drove 45 minutes. When we walked in - they told us the kitchen was closed and would not serve us. Very rude and ignorant!

Great atmosphere for dinner

I'm told this place is owned by the same people that own Cork over in Wilkes-Barre and that was part of the reason we stopped in to try Kevin's. While it's not as great as Cork, it was pretty good. The wine pour was generous and the service was fine. The decor and feel of this place is interesting and lends to part of the charm. While I was not there for a date, my co-worker and I were sat at a little table for two and it certainly had the feel of a date night (which is a little awkward when it's definitely NOT a date! :)). It's not too far a drive from WB, and in fact, not being a local, I didn't realize this wasn't in WB. I'll probably stick with going to Cork but if this place is more convenient, then I'd certainly recommend trying it out!

Pricey and Not Great

Have been to Kevin's Bar and Restaurant for many business events. Every time it seems to be less on the plate and more money. Drinks are definitely not worth the price.

Sub Par food w High Prices. Waitress was more concerned with her cell phone then waiting on the customers. Manager was not their, we left 3 messages and He never called back, terrible customer service.

We came to celebrate a friend’s birthday and the food was amazing. The specials were interesting. Drinks were really yummy. Wait staff was friendly. Great atmosphere!

Great food and excellent service!

Kevin’s Bar and Restaurant was a fantastic experience for our summer date night! The staff was so welcoming, friendly, and professional. We felt comfortable immediately. Our server was attentive and very helpful. My husband has the red snapper, cooked to perfection, crunchy on the outside and tasty on the inside. He called the dish a beautiful presentation. I had the Shrimp and Scallop Sambucca which the chef modified to be dairy free. It, too, was excellent! We will definitely be visiting again.

This place was terrible. Got chicken Marsala. It was boiled chicken served over linguine in a bowl full of hot water - not Marsala sauce. When they took it back they admitted it looked really wrong when they served it. (But they served it anyway!). My guest had the meatball appetizer for an entree. They were cold instead of hot. Service was very slow and place was empty. The restaurant was once good but has gone way down hill.

For such a hyped restaurant, our party was disappointed

In early April, we had a special event dinner party in a private room, with 12 adults. We ordered from the regular menu. Not one of us was particularly impressed. Especially the three people who ordered the salmon. It had absolutely no sauce, butter, or any additional flavor other than plain grilled fish. They all agreed that they have had better salmon at a third of the price. That was kind of the same reaction everyone had to their various entrees. My chicken picatta was just "meh." Even the three Caesar salads ordered had no special flair. At this price point, we had expected far more. Another disappointment was that there was no "plating". Not one bit of greenery or anything else to make the plates look especially appealing. One expects that in a restaurant of this caliber. For the price, I would not recommend Kevin's.

I went here on a date night and I was impressed. Excellent service above all. The food was great but my scallops were slightly undercooked. It didn’t stop me from eating the entire meal. Portion sizes are good, not over the top like you would get at other restaurants so don’t plan on taking anything home. The best part of it = dessert. Best dessert I ever had at a restaurant. Highly recommend the bread pudding or the creme brûlée. The entire meal was expensive but the atmosphere and dessert made it an excellent dining experience
