We drove for two hours to come here and we were not disappointed. This is a warm and cozy tavern in a historic building dating back to the 1800's. You can sit inside or outside and street parking is easy. We had a couple of drinks, and talked to our extremely friendly bartender about the town and things to do... More

4 of us had dinner here on a weeknight. 3 of us got the mushroom soup which was delicious! We should have left after that. 2 of us ordered 1 crabcake and 1 ordered scallops and 1 ordered a filet mignon pittsburgh med rare. The filet came out cold, medium well and not pittsburgh char. The scallops were highly blackened... More

We arrived in Kennett Square for dinner. We had the mushroom soup, Sautéed Exotic mushrooms, Bruschetta, and Crabby Portabella for appetizers. We had Scallop & Shrimp St. Stephan, Broiled Crabcakes and Porcini Ravioli. The food was out standing and so was the service. We had an exceptional dinner.

Sitting in this historic inn with cold air conditioners and a rustic charm was perfect. I had a terrific Reuben and my friends loved their salads. Price was reasonable and waitress was attentive but patient as we caught up with each other.

What a pleasure after a long day touring the local gardens to sit down to a lovely meal. Our server was great and the atmosphere relaxing. The meal, mushroom soup followed by crab cakes, was delicious. A nice finish to an enjoyable day.

On a best friend weekend trip, we stopped in here to try something with local mushrooms. The porcini mushrooms were fantastic! If you stop in here, give them a try.

If you go to this restaurant and do not order the crab cakes, you're making a very big mistake. These incredibly delicious, delectable, delights are 100% crab, and are served with lobster sauce.

Very pleasant ambiance in this cozy restaurant in the middle of Kennett Square. Mushroom soup is wonderful and the variety of entrees would suit anyone. There is also a pub downstairs, which we frequent when looking for a fast bite.

Had eggs benedict with a side of hash brown potatoes and a fruit bowl. The eggs were done to perfection and enjoyed the meal so much. Also had a Mimosa which was a wonderful accompaniment. This is the third time I have eaten there and will continue to go again. Our waitress, Tonya, was very accommodating, making sure we had... More

Nice bar set up, older crowd. Live music some nights. Bar food okay. tables are close together and the prices are on the higher side. Known for the mushroom soup
