The owners of The Phoenix have gone above & beyond to continue to provide Johnstown terrific & safe food & service during the Covid-19 pandemic. They offer completely contactless ordering, payment, & pickup. My husband & I have ordered from them once a week during...the mandated restaurant closure, & the food has been consistently well prepared & delicious. Kudos to the Sapolich family for making the best of a difficult situation! We have been patrons of The Phoenix for years, & we will continue to be for years to come!More

Lovely cosy pub! Popped in with the family before going for dinner yesterday and it was so beautiful and warm and cosy. Hot mulled wine at the bar and friendly staff. Nice locals too! Will definitely return! 👍

I live in the Cleveland area with deep roots in J-town so have been coming to the Phoenix for years. We were in town with friends from Ohio and wanted them to see why we love coming back so much. Our waitress, Lori, was just...great, our lunch was delicious (as always), the historical bar and great prices made our friends big fans, too! My friend loved “Cambria City-style”chili, and the rest of us cleaned our plates. We were treated to homemade, gluten free banana cake that was just wonderful! I am so glad we stopped in, but our friends are even gladder!More

On our way to Gettysburg we stopped in for lunch at the Phoenix. Half of our group had been to the Phoenix before, for the other half of the group this was the first time here. Our past visits have always been great, this visit...did not disappoint. Our server, Lori, was terrific. One of our group needed gluten-free suggestions Lori was a big help with options. Not only did she give options she brought six slices of delicious gluten-free cake for each of us to try (at no charge). It was amazing. Be sure to try the homemade soups they are special. All of our entrees were perfect. The chili was different because they added macaroni noodles to the dish. A nice touch. You won’t be disappointed by this little gem in Johnstown PA. Be sure to stop when you are in the area.More

Stopped by here with three couples for lunch on the day we drove to Johnstown to visit the Johnstown National Flood Memorial and the Johnstown Flood Museum. We were all delighted with the place. I loved my Phoenix burger and fries. Others commented very favorably...on their quesadillas, pizzas and pulled pork sandwich.More

First & Last time there- The Stew's broth was so spicy & full of sodium it Chocked me at first taste, they took it back, The menu read the steak salad was Roaster sirloin So I ordered that- Awful! the meat was more like beef...jerky, dry & terrible, 1/2 way through me eating it the Bartender & the waitress were in a conversation a few feet from me & the girl was talking about her Cat Throwing up, Great! Then she Sprays the entire bar with ammonia & I could smell it & feel it in my eyes, The girl says do you need something so I said its hard to eat when she's cleaning the bar with Ammonia! & I walked out, $9.50 for a terrible salad that I didn't even eat!More
