After driving past this place countless times my husband and I decided to stop here today for a quick lunch. We were not disappointed. We got a huge delicious hoagie, soup, and pastries for only $14 and did not have one complaint. We will be back for sure!

Try the cannolis or pick up a cake. Get there early - before they sell out! You won't be disappointed!

We went with our two teenage sons for a quick lunch. First, my son wanted pizza, but "sorry, we're out of that". Okay, so then my other son wanted s cheesesteak sandwich, but again, "sorry, we're out of that". My younger son then decided on a pretzel, and, you can probably guess, "we don't have pretzels today". We did end... More

The sandwiches were very fresh and well made. The subs are too big for one person to eat. If you can't share or save, order a sandwich. They also have a nice selection of sweets. The chocolate dipped macaroon was delicious. My only complaint is that they were out of bagels and croissants by lunch time.

You can honestly say Alpine is the best bakery in Jim Thorpe. You could also honestly say Alpine is the ONLY bakery in Jim Thorpe. When you have no competition... When you walk in the place, the first thing you notice is that there is no bakery smell here. It's the only bakery I have been in that doesn't get... More

I was very pleased to visit this place again. Their croissants are fantastic and their crumb cake is wonderful! The hours are a bit unusual, so definitely check ahead if you are planning a visit, especially on a Sunday morning. Be prepared to wait during peak times...have some coffee and remember that you didn't come to the mountians to rush... More

I was there for breakfast with my husband. We have some very good breakfast croissants, but the coffee was not good. I wish the place would be nicer, it is really small, old and sad. With its amazing setting, it could have bigger windows to enjoy the view or even a terrace to have breakfast outside, I would have loved... More

A wonderful bakery filled with goodies to tempt you. A bit outside of Jim Thorpe but definitely worth the short drive.

The Alpine Bakery is just that a really good bakery. The breads and cake creations are really quite wonderful. The owners at one time decided to create a little bistro by adding several tables for eat-in. They expanded their service to include breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches and the like. Coffee and soft drinks. The food is good. The portions are... More

Great breakfast sandwiches to eat-in or call ahead and pick-up! I do suggest calling in your order they do get swamped. You get a great sandwich for the price. The chocolate butter cake is the best I ever had, but you have to be one of the first in to even get one. try it , you will love it.
