I booked a table the week prior for my partner's birthday, specifically requesting an outside table, as I had checked the weather and saw that it was forecast to be a nice day. When I made the booking, I was surprised that the woman who I spoke to on the phone didn't make the usual comment of 'come up on... More

The prime location is all about the panoramic view and poetry on a plate. I wouldn't go if I was not able to book one of the five tables with a a real chance of enjoying the view. It was awesome at lunch time. Don't expect a big plate of food.

This must be the best restaurant food I have tasted in a long time. The four of us were at a table on the balcony at The Cowrie in Terrigal. Beautiful views and a mild late April evening made it spectacular. The members of the staff were genuinely nice and very helpful. Each dish was amazing. Thankyou to all at... More

Wonderful dinner experience at Terrigal. Unfortunately parking was a bit difficult. No stopping along the road so we were late and couldn't contact the restaurant as it was on answering machine. Entrees and main were delicious although quite expensive for central coast. The soufflé was disappointing as it was more chocolate fondant without the soft chocolate. On the pricey side.

My wife and I stopped off here for dinner with my sister-in-law and her partner on their recent visit to NSW. The staff were efficient, friendly and entertaining. They gave a strong impression of loving what they do, loving the food and also the location. The view out across Terrigal is stunning, but the food is also amazing. My wife... More

Have eaten at the Cowrie several times and have not been disappointed with the food, this is a restaurant to go to for a special occasion. The Cowrie is located on the top of Scenic Drive with views over Terrigal; even at night there is something to see. The decor is good with soft lighting. There is also an outside... More

We attended last Saturday night with our children (aged 7 & 5). We specifically booked and advised the restaurant that we would be bringing children and we went early at 6 PM. We were greeted very frostily by the waitress who made us feel very unwelcome throughout our time at the restaurant. My husband opened the door to look the... More

Visited Cowrie Restaurant for lunch. The food was exceptional. As an Entree I had the Roast pumpkin, fig, walnut, goats cheese and Japanese vegetables. It was superb - although I only found one very small piece of fig. As the Main I had the Lachlan Valley Lamb. It was delicious. Service was mainly exceptional however our friends ordered a Cheese... We got a great table with fantastic views on a Sunday night. The service was very good and the food sensational. It was very expensive.
