I would like to thank Tanya and her staff for a wonderful night to celebrate my 60th birthday. The entrees and mains were delicious and the service was first class considering there were over 80 people to cater for. My friends and family commented to...me on the night how good the food was and the vegan dishes were a huge winner. Thank you Tanya we will be back again.More

Came with the kids and they have a very different menu that was amazing. Kids schnitzel was one of the best we have ever had. The chicken supreme was devine. Plate basically licked clean. All at a decent price with great friendly service.

The location and facilities are great. We sat on the terrace and watched roos and ducks playing on the golf course as the sun set. It was a great hit, with no misses. Unfortunately, the food did not match the environment. Calamari: Hit - Huge...serve, calamari itself beautifully cooked, soft and melty. The seeds in the batter were crunchy and a nice surprise. A large bed of salad. Miss - The batter was oily rather than crunchy, and needed a lot of lemon juice to offset the oilyness Pork belly: Hit - Again, a large serve of belly (it is my favourite thing to order on any menu and this serve was quite generous. The beetroot and fetta risotto with a hint of ginger to give it kick was a great addition. Miss - the crackling was rubber rather than crisp, and had a half inch of unrendered fat under it. The belly itself, whilst large, was harder than it should be rather than melt in the mouth. I've made pork belly several times and all these issues happen when it hasn't been cooked for long enough for fat to render into the meat and keep it moist and for crackling to crisp. The charred half apple accompanying the dish had also been cooked at too high a heat too quickly - there was a dark char, but it was still hard. Apples are better cooked with the meat. Duck maryland - Hit - The duck was cooked well, the plum sauce a good glaze. Miss - The potato gratin was grainy and cold, as if it had been frozen and reheated in the microwave but not for long enough. It was inedible and left on the plate. The Asian greens were undercooked and stringy. So - serving sizes very generous, but the rushed cooking of each element made it almost inedible and difficult to enjoy. Won't be back.More

12 of my family and I visited the Bluewater Grill for my mum's 80th birthday. Because it was such an auspicious occasion I took an age to decide where to go and finally chose this restaurant out of many in Nelson Bay. We had a...7.00 booking. All of our meals were delicious. However at 7.45 we ordered 2 desserts. They took 35 minutes to bring them to the table. It was obvious that they had forgotten them which I acknowledge can happen easily. At 8.25 when my in laws were half way through their dessert the staff turned the lights off. It was very unfortunate that such a wonderful and special night for my mother had to end in this fashion.More

Rushed dining. Disappointing experience at Bluewater Grill for wedding Anniversary weekend away. Placed order of entrees and main meals. Half way through entrees main meals were brought out, less than 10 mins between (hubby only just finished eating half of his bruschetta & this is...someone who doesn’t mess around when eating). Impression was kitchen staff just wanted to go home! This was confirmed as we were leaving 30mins later as they were scrubbing kitchen floors. We booked in for 7:30pm and left by 8pm. Won’t be back!More

Again a lovely lunch, attentive staff, great location. It was a birthday celebration for one of our party, we were able to take a cake, the club supplied plates, forks and even lit the candles for us at no charge. We live within a 10...minute walk and visit regularly. We have a mobility scooter and the staff always ensure that we are seated with easy access and still a table with a lovely view. Thank you to the chefs and staff. See you next time.More

If you wish to enjoy a nice wine with your meal by the glass, skip this restaurant unless you like Yellow Tail. After traveling 500km I was looking forward to a meal and glass of wine but had to stick to water or buy a...bottle. Not going back until they can provide good wine by the glass - and that's not Yellow Tail!More

Sorry about the Wine, it has nothing to do with our Restaurant, but I will pass on your feedback to the Club.

Yes there is a playroom area for kids inside the dining room. So you can dine in relaxingly and knowing the kids have fun and safe.
