A small food menu but variety. Extensive wine list.
Husband had fish of the day (yellow fin tuna) and I slow cooked lamb with a side of greens. Both superb.
Dessert was chocolate torte with home made vanilla ice cream - a perfect pairing.
Definitely...a restaurant to consider if you are down this way. Would suggest that you book for a Friday or Saturday night.More
11 of us had dinner here last Saturday night.
Everyone of us were so impressed with the food and service. I would say right Up there with the best on the South Coast of NSW. You have to book this restaurant is packed with the...locals “A good sign”. Ask for a window seat if possible.
Thankyou to the staff at Whale Restaurant who were exceptional just like the food. Fully licensed.More
Had dinner here on the last night of holidays. Started with plump oysters, grilled with Kina butter moved on to pork belly; tender yummy pork with a crispy crackling. My husband had the eye fillet which he said was delicious. I can't back him up...though as he wouldn't share! We finished our meal by sharing a passionfruit Panna Cotta served with a crunchy coconut crumb & strawberry sorbet. It was a beautiful meal that we both really enjoyed.More
We enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Whale restaurant overlooking Narooma harbour and waterways. The views and the ambience makes the restaurant very appealing. We loved the white starched tablecloth’s and the fast friendly service.
The menu was extremely limited but we did enjoy all...our dishes. We also appreciated the cosy cocktail bar and lounge area. Bookings are highly recommended. For a romantic table ask for the corner window seating for two . 🥂More
This was the ideal way to spend our last night in Narooma before heading back to Canberra. It's a classy restaurant with a spectacular view. The food was outstanding. Of the local oysters, we preferred the ones with verjuice. The slow roasted pork belly was...perfectly cooked. A feature was the Asian greens that were still crunchy near the root. My wife loved her prawn agnolotti. The rocket salad with beetroot and fetta was perfect. I am sure the rocket was picked that same day: it was super fresh and peppery. The sweets were a perfect way to finish an outstanding meal.More
We ate at The Whale recently and found the staff exceptional and very friendly. The food however needs tweaking - the bread was lovely the beetroot tart pastry was tough and over worked as was the agnolotti pasta too heavy handed which made it quite...thick although the prawn filling and seafood bisque was yummy.More
Lovely view, relaxing vibe for casual drinks and snacks. Fully enjoyed cocktails and a selection of entrees on our last afternoon in Narooma. Can also recommend room service - tasty healthy and well-portioned meals to satisfy tired travellers. We didn’t eat a full meal in...the restaurant proper however we would be more than happy to do so next time.More
Good views, great food & excellent service made for a most enjoyable evening.
Save room for dessert, the dark chocolate mousse was deliciously wicked. My husband declared his oysters followed by the steak, to be the best in a long time!
