Think Vue De Mond without the expensive prices and genuine French staff. This restaurant is fantastic and quirky. It's off the main drag so make sure you do dinner there. Regardless of whether you are a back packer or foodie, this place ticks all the boxes. Make sure you make your self known to Lou Lou and Gale the scallops,... More

This place feels like we stepped into a little bistro in France. The service was amazing, with Lulu the waitress telling us all about the foods and offering helpful suggestions. They allowed us to bring two huskies into the restaurants outdoor terrace which was absolutely lovely, given we usually get turned away with our fluff balls . I would go... More

We have dined at The Petit Snail many times but this was the first with the new owners so we weren't sure what to expect. Well rest assured the food is just as good and the environment extremely welcoming thanks to Lulu. All our meals were fantastic and the service was excellent. Can't wait to go back on our next... Thank you very much for your appreciation and great review. However, you need to know that Gael is our new MANAGER. He, his wife Lulu and their lovely daughter Sasha came under sponsorship to run The Petit Snail, bring new blood, new energy and new ideas. This will be an opportunity to open an extra day and do some brunch... More

Walking in to The Petit Snail is like walking into a little bit of France from the streets of Byron. The food, the wines, the ambience, the staff all made it an immersion into what you would experience in France. Of the four couples there one was a birthday, a wedding anniversary and another saw the guy get down on... More

As soon as you walk into The Petit Snail you are greeted warmly by Lulu and shown your seat. This restaurant is indeed Petit but characterful, with lovely prints on the walls and an intimate atmosphere. The food is provincial French and takes advantage of the wonderful produce available in the area and provides a good wine list. We had... More

If you've travelled around France you know that you will find a restaurant like the Petit Snail in every village you come to. It was unexpected, however to find one in Byron Bay. We were transported to the South of France - the decor, the food even the accents of our charming hosts. This is traditional French fare - don't... More

Byron Bay and its main street restaurants on a Saturday night can fill up very quickly. Petit Snail is a little off the main streets but well worth the visit. The restaurant is intimate. The staff are very enthusiastic with the food being wonderfully regional in nature with a twist of classic French style.

We had the pleasure of being attended to by Lulu, she and her husband recently assumed the management of Le Petit Snail. The food was superb, which took us back to Avignon, Lyon and the charms of France. After dinning there for two consecutive evenings we can only but recommend this little gem for a charming evening out with great... More

Highly recommend this little gem! The scallops, snails, crepes and creme brûlée were absolutely delicious. A high chair and little box of toys was even put out for our little boy. The service was very friendly. Overall a very positive and incredible experience, it felt like we were in France.

Great little restaurant. Food was delicious. Garlic butter prawns were great as was the pate. Steak was the best in Byron and so was the bouillabaisse. Brûlée was perfect as was the cheese selection. Waitress was passionate and spot on with her recommendations. You should try this place for excellent French food. We did and we loved it!
