After our fab Koru Kayaking experience we decided to try a local eatery and we decided on The Taphouse. This was excellent great friendly staff and fab food. Just what we needed. We will definitely be visiting again.

Our experience was rather underwhelming. No one came to take the order, had to go to the bar to order drinks and later to ask to have an order taken. Food was good but nothing to warrant how difficult it was to get a booking. Over the course of our dinner had to go to the bar four times, which... More

We visited at a friend's recommendation while on holiday in St Agnes. We visited twice: once at lunchtime; and once early evening to sample the wider menu (evening service begins at 6pm). Our midweek lunch was a positive experience, with my husband choosing the crab, our two year old enjoyed the child's spaghetti bolognese (not too big a portion, for... More

Gave the Taphouse a visit as we'd passed by a few times & it was always busy, we certainly weren't disappointed! A friendly welcome and a warm atmosphere greeted us in this cosy restaurant which was a nice surprise. We hadn't booked but found a nice little table by the window. Drinks were promptly served with the menu being left... More

I visited without a reservation on the off chance after reading some great reviews online and boy was I happy that I did. Staying nearby on business I am delighted I decided to venture out for food. I have some dietary requirements and the delightful waiter could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Chowder is a favourite of mine... More

We popped in at short notice on a Wednesday evening and the place was quite busy. Food was great, a Rump steak cooked to perfection, fish cakes, a Tappy burger and the star in my eyes the Thai Mussels. We will definitely go again. Great range of beers as well.

Always a great atmosphere and very good food. Everyone made very welcome. Good selection of drinks but could do with some single malt whiskeys!

One of the best known eateries in the area, booking is essential if you want dinner at the weekend. We snagged a table for 2 early on a Saturday night and got in before the crowd. A great range of drinks with some intoxicating specials, the food is really good - really really good and the service is excellent.
