Rather dated room and somewhat uncomfortable if you are in your own. Food over priced for what was on offer. Breakfast however was good with plenty of choice

Lovely restaurant with quirky opulent decor. Impressive menu that will make choosing your meal tough as you'll want to try everything. Fast service but a relaxed slow paced experience.

This was a lunch in this lovely restaurant. The food just did not meet the standard. The fish was ready made variety which in Cornwall is just not good enough. Friendly staff

Some friends and I went to the Penventon Park restaurant for lunch today. We had an excellent meal , I had the mushroom omelette, chips and salad; highly recommended. We meet regularly here as the lunchtime menu is in our opinion, exceptional value for money and we always have excellent service.

Unfortunately I attended another wake at the Penventon. Unfortunate because it was a dear friend's funeral and unfortunate because it was at the Penventon. I am disabled and walking is difficult for me. There are two disabled parking spaces in it's very large car park. Both were taken, one by a blue badge holder and the other by a new,... More

This restaurant is a friendly hotel based restaurant. They do the classics very well but go off the rails when trying to be original - the very weird brisket nuggets coming out dry and inedible, definitely not delivering on the hints at a comfort food dish as per the menu description. Others at the table faired far better with chicken... More

We chose a midweek evening as we thought it might be quieter, but it was very busy with a school prom' going on in a different function room. However the staff were very attentive, polite and efficient. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. We shared the chateaubriand, it was carved at the table, and had been cooked perfectly to... More

The Penventon has for years been our choice of venue for special occasions, with almost guaranteed good food, service and atmosphere. Not any more. The new menu is more suited to a steakhouse than a fine dining experience. The food quality has significantly declined - my beef Wellington may as well had been made of rubber it was so overcooked.... More

Visited the PV Restaurant with a group of work colleagues. Pre meal bar service was great although a little understaffed. The girl behind the bar was very good and knowledgable with regards to the Gin and efficient with the service. Our table was booked 8pm and we were a little late being seated. We were told we had to order... More

We were here on a short break and chose Penventon because we had stayed in the past and really loved the food - we both like food too much, to be honest and so know quality when we get it. The menu is varied, with either a set menu at a very reasonable price or the a la carte. Both... More
