This pub is located in the most amazing cove, and when the easterlies are blowing there is great entertainment when sitting outside watching people and cars being covered by the huge wages, though many stand there to keep themselves cool. The accommodation is very comfortable (the beds are amazing) and has all that you need. The food is excellent value... More

I booked to stay here at the end of July with my friend. The booking was made over the phone and was pretty straight forward. I have a mini poodle who's no trouble at all so wanted to check it was ok to bring her- it was made clear on the phone there would be a small charge but all... More

Recently ate here whilst on holiday. Lovely location, stunning views. Food was good value for money, staff were polite. Only downside were the chips. Would eat here again. Thank you

We were stopping at Port Mellon so tried the pub a couple of times despite the poor reviews, and we were pleasantly surprised. The views and location next to the beach are wonderful, and we got window seats on both visits. It is an old fashioned local with slate flooring and wooden beams. The food was served quickly and was... More

This pub has fabulous views and a lovely location, however it is so disappointing. The interior is shabby and festooned with signs, advertising and instructions. Small outside area, which clearly can't be helped, but it's littered with ash trays and fag ends. Quite disgusting. The sign in the toilet asking you not to 'Nick the b....... Toilet rolls' is the... We walked here from Mevagissey for lunch. It is a lovely walk to the pub, and the pub itself has amazing views over the beach. We waited for a while to get served and both ordered a pint of Cornish Pilsner - it had an odd taste to it - nothing like the same pilsner we drank at a different... More

Superb views over Portmellon cove and dog friendly, a major plus. It is an old quirky building. The day we visited was lovely but the outside was full of smokers, including 2 members of staff that we saw who smoked at the entrance. As this is also family friendly perhaps allocating a couple of benches up the lane but leave... More

An old pub with character situated on the waters edge offering good views with mainly locals at the bar. We were staying nearby and stopped by for dinner. No bookings are necessary. Order at the bar and meals are delivered by the barman when ready. Typical pub food, servings are more than adequate, and pricing inexpensive.
