The reviews on here would imply the breakfast is ok so stick with that. The place was very strange and atmosphere awkward. We had lunch and got served a half raw half hard/over microwaved jacket potato. It had clearly been microwaved as you can tell by the skin and the middle was still raw. Although that was argued when we... More

Neither excellent nor poor, I'm awarding 3 stars 🌟🌟🌟... 'Average' ...to 'Good' (no 'good' TripAdvisor rating). Not a disaster, however, not really an exceptional experience either... That awkward feeling you may have experienced when you walk in on the tail end of a row? 😶 Not the best of greeting when we entered, a non facial blank look... I'm a... More

This is a friendly small place that seems to be run by two ladies who apparently have been here for a few years They do a cheese afternoon tea that comprises of cheese scones, local Cornish cheeses, chutney and a pot of tea with extra water They also do very nice homemade soups and appear to do other 'specials' Recommended... Small place with character. Simple but delicious and very affordable menu. The cheese scone tea platter was delicious. I liked the fact my teapot had an additional jug of hot water. We went just before closing but we were not rushed. I think its a cash only cafe. Nice homemade soups.

Wonderful, home cooked food. The cream tea is excellent and the scones are fresh daily. Small, intimate bistro-style restaurant

We popped in about 2.30pm as my husband wanted a cream tea before leaving Cornwall. There were only two other people eating and they had just finished. My husband ordered a tuna sandwich and that was all he got, no garnish just two triangular sandwiches. Although no garnish was advertised, it would have made them more appealing and special. He... We had cream tea here, well I say that, we had one cream tea and one cheese tea. 2 x cheese scones, pickle and 2 different types of cheese. Very unusual but very nice change for those with less of a sweet tooth.

Really tasty freshly cooked food. Vegetarian choices were great, I had parsnip & lentil pudding, new potatoes & fresh veggies. Followed by chocolate brownie and raspberry sorbet, husband had surf & turf followed by apple crumble and custard. We also had 2 beers and a coke and the bill was only £40 Very reasonable priced too. Very small & friendly... More

We had the surf & turf, the steak was cooked to perfection, beautiful scallops, Had a nice drink, you will have a short wait, but it is well worth it. Food is cooked fresh, what more could you ask for.
