We have been to the Wheelhouse for lunch before, but on this visit returned for an evening meal. It was a mid week evening in July and we were shown to a table immediately and we're pleased that we arrived when we did, as it soon became very busy indeed. There was an extensive menu and we both chose from... More

Stopped for a quick lunch at the Wheel House, unfortunately the very slow service made sure that wasn't going to happen. When the food finally arrived it was a bit like the curates egg.....some good, some bad,... I had a crab sandwich which had been made with so much of the brown crabmeat that it tasted more like a fish... More

Sometimes when I order a fish dish at a restaurant, I have a lovely chunky piece with those thin ends chopped off. I often wondered what happens to those end pieces until we visited here and had the "Seafood mixed grill" Honestly, it was bad. All bland, all tasted exactly the same (of nothing), no seasoning, over cooked so it... More

Very good food. Lots of local fish. Sea bass with scallops was great. Location great next to harbour. Upstairs room best with view of harbour. Saw seals in the harbour as having lunch ... well worth a visit..

My partner and I visited here on the off chance when visiting Mevagissey - and what a find. My pot of muscles dish was perfect and my partners steak was cooked to perfection. It was so good, we came back again later in the week. And we were lucky, both times we got the seat in the window that overlooked... More

We liked The Wheel House so much that this was a return visit, we called in for mid afternoon meal this time and again we weren't disappointed. Waiting time was short and the food was served in a n efficient and polite manner. The view is excellent, overlooking the harbour and you get a really good meal as well. What... More

Nice place, good service, huge portions and beautiful views. The chips were under cooked but generally the meal was okay.

Lots of choice on the menu. Food is good and I would eat there again, but its not somewhere to go for 'something special'. A good place to eat with kids and if you want a view of the harbour.
