This is a very popular pub on the North Cornwall coast, just outside Newquay with Mowgan Porth just down the road. Very picturesque and in a quiet location. They offer a good variety of beers and wines in a vibrant, homely atmosphere. We booked a table in advance and arrived earlier than planned, but the staff were very friendly &... More

This was recommended to us by a friend, so we thought we would try it. Booked a table for two. The building is a pub/resturant which gives the place a nice ambience. Waiting staff were polite and helpful.. Informing us of a wait for food ( also states this on the back of the menu ) was a bit disappointing... More

Great place to eat and nice surroundings. Great location with good car parking. The staff are friendly and helpful too. I had a pulled pork burger with salad and chips which was delicious. Best meal I have had in a long time and not too expensive. The beer was really good too - I had a second pint and collected... More

Changed a lot since we used to live and work there in the 00's. Place is lovely, extended, bright and clean. Very busy but seemed all holidaymakers rather than locals. Defo seems more of an eating place now rather than calling in for a pint. Food when it arrived was very good, if pricey. However the long wait of way... More

We visited here on Sunday as a party of 7. The service was nothing but awesome and the food was out of this world. Great prices for a family meal. Lovely little pub for either drinks or a meal. The carvery was incredible! Lots of choices and friendly service. Wish we had had more meals here but will definitely be... More

Popped in for a bit of lunch and went home stuffed! We ordered two burgers of the day, a chargrilled chicken salad and homemade cloudy lemonade - brilliant. To top it off was an apple and berry oat crumble and two double chocolate brownies. Fantastic service, polite and chatty and the food! Well, it was perfection. We even bought a... More

A booking for eleven covering three generations and enjoyed by all Quite an extensive menu, catered for young children, grandparents, a vegetarian and lovers of sweet puddings. A highlight was the large square table where everyone's could speak to everybody else undisturbed by the very low volume background music. Service was excellent, all the meals served hot and together. Total... More

Nice pub but usually fully booked or packed. There is only one ladies toilet and often queues, there is a pool table and an outdoors. Staff were friendly. This is the kids favourite pub to come too. The food was delicious and devoured all of it. Puddings were just as good. Very nice friendly pub. The Internet does not work... More

Visited while in the area...have to book as gets really busy...very friendly staff but food expensive for what it is..had scampi. .nothing special and the crushed minted peas tasted very like a well known tinned brand that had been doctored 😑
