Had a day at the spa and ate a lovely smoked mackerel ploughman’s. Also popped into this warm, canal side restaurant for tea. Reasonable prices and a good choice of food on the menu. Lots of scrummy cakes!

Always a great place to eat and enjoy home cooking after a brisk coastal or canal walk. Lovely food. If you get the cheese scone tea, I would buy one between two as they are huge. The soup of the day is great. Lovely staff....More

Living near this establishment, we visit often, today it took nearly 1/2 hour to serve 1 hot chocolate and 1 latte on a slow Sunday afternoon, and that was after we asked how long it would be - no apology. The staff were more interested...More

We visited the weir for coffee with the children. The outside play area is fab and they really enjoyed it. We took the canal path down to Bude which was a lovely afternoons stroll and just far enough for our little ones without getting bored....More

I have reviewed the Weir before, but we go there every year and it keeps getting better ...and busier! Although it was Wednesday in November, it was bright and sunny, which was as well as we couldn’t have got seats inside in the dog friendly...More

The staff wasn’t interested in serving the customer, much more important to talk among themselves. So we waited and waited for our tea and cakes we ordered When it came there wasn’t the green tea I paid for and the cake was old and stale!

All of our food is cooked in our kitchens using only fresh ingredients sourced from the best local suppliers. The freshness of the food is matched by the stunning interior of the restaurant with its fully glazed facade offering sweeping views down to the fishing lake. Top Cornish breakfast served daily til noon, lunch or supper at affordable prices from our varied menu with vegetarian and gluten free options throughout. Serving freshly ground coffees artisan teas and mouth-watering slices of cake. You can choose to eat in our garden or patio area or in front of our real log fire during those colder months here on the North Coast of Cornwall. We also have heaters on the terrace for those cold but bright days.
