Helford Village in its self is beautiful well worth visiting. After a nice walk decided to try the Pub for lunch, that was a mistake. Menu was very limited, I had fish and chips. On the portions size it should have been Peas, Chips and fish. I don't mind my veg on the hard side, but not bullet's, as the... More

It's misleading to say this place is in Helston! It's not it's not it's in beautiful Helford on the edge of one of England's most beautiful rivers. We were lucky enough to be renting a thatched cottage just up the road so visited this charming Inn twice during our week there. The first visit was on a Friday evening when... More

This is in a lovely location of course, very clean, wood décor and good but expensive menu -for example £11 for ham egg and chips. However, it is not really a pub - it is a restaurant. There are tables set for 6-8 people with great views, decking, this is not a cosy pub by the river. You need tot... More

Just had a brilliant fish curry. Top quality meal at sensible price. Lovely staff in a traditional pub.

We used the Shipwrights as our go to place for a recent trip to the area. It's a friendly place with a log fire and great views over the creek. Rather than cook in our cottage we ate in the Shipwrights 3 times - so guess that says it all about the food! Even though we'd never visited this part... More

On walking the coastal path we came across Helford and this great pub. The Fish and chips are excellent as was the choice on the menu for food and drink. This is a very popular pub so be prepared for it to be busy. We loved sitting outside overlooking the river which gave us a great view for lunch too.... More

Visited here on NY day and was offered a very warm welcome. Amazing location in a lovely village. Staff were charming and friendly and was even offered complimentary cheese straws whilst we waited for lunch as we were told that the delicious fresh pizza's may take a little while. Love this pub and will return soon.
