This is by far the best place to get a Cornish pastie. It is always busy but well worth the wait. A great variety too. Cakes, sandwiches and gifts can be bought in the shop too.

Enough said! Philp's pasties are the best, I wouldn't buy any others! They have two outlets in Hayle, one in St Ives now - if you're going to St Ives please don't buy some of the others on Fore Street, just look out for Philps on the harbour.

In our opinion this is the best pastie shop around. We have been purchasing pasties from these premises for many years and the staff are all so helpful.

Great pasties here but my favourite is the chicken pasties. Weird location in an old pub but great food so who cares! Drove past it a few times but now a favourite place when we are staying at Gwithians campsite nearby..

My wife and I were passing through Cornwall and decided we needed to try an authentic Cornish Pasty. One word. Wow!!!! Absolutely awesome, delicious, filling and moreish. I'm incredibly picky about good food, and do not give 5 stars lightly. These were absolutely fantastic, and the chocolate cake and brownie were really good too. To be fair though, my wife... More

If you want a "proper job" when it comes to pasties, you need to visit Philps. You pay much less for your pasty than you would if you bought it from anywhere in St Ives. Absolutely packed with filling and even the medium pasties are enormous!

You can not visit Cornwall without going to Philps for a proper Cornish Pasty. This is the best place to get the real deal from a little one to a huge one. Whatever takes your fancy you will get your pasty here. You can even bulk buy and have them to take home with you or buy them frozen or... More

Generously sized and taste amazing. We ordered 4 pasties and 3 lots of cream tea as we began a 330 mile trip back home. Tasted amazing!!

Went here after a walk on the beach, a fair queue on a Saturday lunch time which is a good sign. Ample parking. They were out of large steak so we got large mince and they were lovely. I prefer a touch more pepper but well cooked (nothing worse than crunchy veg in a pasty!) and delicious pastry.

Thank Kimberley Y
