We revisited the old albion inn whilst in the area. We still love this place, food is great and the atmosphere is also great, I'm not sure if the pub has changed hands though as the staff didn't seem as friendly this time round and we where made to feel a little unwelcome. However the company still made this a... More

Although this was our 5th visit to the area we had never eaten here.Dog friendly so that was great as we had 2 dogs with us. We visited with friends so there were 4 adults and 2 teenagers, something on the menu for everyone. The first visit we had it was quiet and the food came pretty quick and was... More

Having walked through the the village we found the two pubs opposite each other. Having tried the other public, which was not all that good, I came across to the Old Albion. A traditional old pub with bag fullstone of character. We ordered a table and came back later. The staff were extremely helpful and catering. We ordered our food... More

What an enchanting place! Loved all the old original features. Untouched by the modern world! The young waitress was very helpful and attentive, without being overpowering. Plenty of choice for adults and children. My husband and son had nachos to share to start . . . They wrre fabulos with fresh spring onions cut on top. My bread and olive... More

I cannot fault tonight's meal or service, the soups were thick, fresh & homemade. The presentation of the main meals was first class, they were obviously home cooked and tasted delicious. We had Burgers, Beef Bourginon & Fish & Chips. We slightly changed the menu to suit us which wasn't a problem at all. If there was any criticism from... More

Food took about an hour to arrive when wasn't busy. When it did arrive it wasn't amazing but acceptable. A steak costing £19 ought to be better, the chips were nice although bizarrely served in a mug. child pizza appeared to be something you'd get from the basic range In a supermarket. Drinks range a bit basic a bottle of... More

We were staying at the nearby Crantock Beach and wandered into the village to have a drink. We chose the Old Albion Inn as it looked like a traditional English pub, which goes to show appearances are deceptive. The outside is the best bit believe me. We went inside and approached a small bar marked 'real ale', with an unsmiling... More

Doggy friendly and would recommend the obligatory meat pies on offer! Restaurant not open when there but have been in the past and is well worth dining there.

I have been here many times for drinks in the sunshine so decided to try the food one sunday; I like the old style pub, makes a nice change to stark, modern chain pubs. Friendly staff, good menu and quick service. We all had roast and thoroughly enjoyed it, 2 of us had desserts and I highly recommend the fondant... More

We have been visiting Crantock for over 30 years and always made a beeline for The Albion. The staff were lovely, very welcoming and polite and the food was always delicious. The benches placed at the front of the pub were(and still are) a sun trap and as far as we were concerned it was the best place in Cornwall.... More
