My second visit post-lockdown and the attention to safety, cleanliness and customer service is even better. From the moment of arrival through to the final lip smacking after a gorgeous dessert was consumed, I loved the experience.
Safe, spaced out but still atmospheric! We were escorted promptly to our table, served some of the best food I've had in ages (no exaggeration!) and managed to enjoy some much needed catch-up time with family.
Have to say the one way system works really well at this pub, given the bar is plonked centrally in the venue. Wouldn't hesitate to visit again.
A big thanks and shout out to Darius and Francis for making the visit perfect.

I’ve visited since lockdown was partially lifted and can’t fault the pub for implementing the safety measures required. It felt very safe and the food menu, although reduced, still had lots on offer. The food was great, and it was great to feel almost normal again

I visited with family on a Saturday night in August. My dad hadn't been out to the pub since the pandemic began so this was his first proper outing and we were so impressed with how they had set everything up to keep everything sanitised and make everyone comfortable.
We were greeted at the door where a member of staff explained how things worked & we were shown to our table. There were hand sanitising stations positioned throughout the pub & there was a good distance between tables.
They offered table service which was brilliant and there were loads of staff working who were all so polite & friendly and we never had to wait long for a drink. The number of guests at the pub was kept to a reasonable number, which is quite different to other pubs i've been to where they seem to fit in as many people as possible.
The food was great, the drinks were lovely and we had a perfect evening after not being able to get together as a family for months. It was definitely the best handling of COVID-19 at a pub that I've seen and we will definitely be back!

Really disappointed with the visit, we popped in to have a few drinks and some bar snacks. We arrived and when we first went to order items from the vegan menu (which is on especially for January). We we’re advised 2 items of the 3 on the menu were unavailable so we had to review again. We went up a second time to order veggie items from the bar menu, 3 further items of the 4 we requested were also off the menu. We were offered chips as an alternative. I appreciate that some menus may run out however to have 5 of the 7 items we wanted to not be available isn’t very good.

We attended for the Burns night supper. I had seen their online publicity which said there were to be bagpipes and an address to the haggis. On that premise I made the booking, but the piper must have played for about a minute to introduce the haggis ceremony and then disappeared, which we found very disappointing. The ode to the haggis was however excellent. The meal was good, though the haggis was a little too peppery for our taste and the marmalade and whisky bread and butter pudding was excellent, though it would have been better if it had been hot rather than lukewarm. Service was a bit variable, with several young men wandering aimlessly around. Our order for a drink at the start failed to come and eventually arrived on the second time of asking, twenty minutes after we arrived. All in all a pleasant experience but it could have been better with some Scottish music and more attentive service.

Haven’t been in this pub for many years and doubt I’ll be returning anytime soon.
The pub is fine plenty of character and lovely staff, service was good. Ordered a pie which was dry and overcooked and a pint of London Pride which was overpriced and of pretty poor quality. Possibly the worst pint of Pride I’ve ever had and having been born and bred in the area I’ve drunk a hell of a lot of London Pride, it wasn’t helped by being served in a plastic glass which I understand due to the Rugby at Twickenham but not necessary in the Comedy Venue next door.

It's been 4 months since I last went to a bar or pub of any sort. Naturally, there was some trepidation about visiting one so soon after restrictions have been lifted. I needn't have worried at all. From arrival to departure I couldn't have felt more safe and relaxed than spending a few hours with some great food and drink at the Turk's.
The staff really go all out to ensure your safety and comfort, from the desk at the door and hand sanisitiser station, through the single use menu's, to the one way system of the bar. The pub is naturally very well suited to a one-way system actually due to its 'doughnut ring' layout'. Plenty of space inside between each table. Had the weather been better on the day I went I'd have been out in the garden.
It's to the landlord's credit that he's managed to pull off what could have been (and probably is!) a very tricky reopening so seamlessly.
I'll be back before I know it.

Love going to the Turks head. Have been on a few occasions for drinks/roast/pre comedy drinks and it’s always been such a nice atmosphere. We did have a nut roast and it unfortunately came out a bit small so mentioned this and they added on another piece and even some extra roasties. Normally hate complaining but it tends to be the way with vegans getting a bit short changed with portions, especislly as you wouldn’t normally get Yorkshire puddings and cauliflower cheese for the same price. The staff were so friendly and nice and we will definitely visit again!

We went to Turks Head yesterday I can say although our first time definitely be our last. I can only describe the food that was served up looked no better than SLOP!! It was tasteless cold etc for the money that was charged it was a disgrace as a further observation the surroundings of the wider pub is very tired and very dirty as a result I’ve spent last night very close to my toilet.
I will never be returning to The Turks Head for food or anything else and I can’t understand the great reviews because what I saw and ate I wouldn’t feed my dog!!

A great pub pre games at Twickenham. Great London Pride reasonably priced at ÂŁ6.50 on a match day. Read elsewhere that The Admiral Nelson (a pub I used to drink in for years) were charging premium prices. Nice beer garden and not too backed though it does get rammed for the Internationals

Good place for an expensive pint but the food price and portions dont align - big price, small portion. Need to offer better sized meals for kids and adults. We had the ÂŁ16 salad - it tasted ok but it was gone in the blink of an eye and I needed to eat more when I got home.

Been going in the Turks Head for 40 years, usually for a few beers before a rugby match
So this was a sentimental journey and we were not disappointed.
Never seen it so empty because of Ovid social distancing but had a table by the bar, if a little cold as the door was kept open.
Shared chicken wings to start: lots of them with a sweet Vietnamese sauce.
Steak and ale pie: lovely pastry, full of flavour and lots of cabbage and mashed potato.
Fish and chips also good with crispy batter and plenty of vegetables.
Hope I’m still going here in 40 years time

Food used to be spot on. Had a regular weekly slot to take children after school (st Stephen’s). The last few visits have been so disappointing. Food rancid and won’t be going back. Clean your act up Turks or Fullers!

Thank you so much Ollie and the staff for looking after us our friends and family so well for our after funeral gathering.
We are so lucky to have such a great community centred pub near to us. The food and service was impeccable and the staff were so kind and they made the room look beautiful for us .

My son's 8th Birthday party the table looked fantastic the team had written a a card and a gift which was totally unexpected and made my boys day.
Brilliant Pub, Great Food and the team are amazing, can't say how fantastic this pub is!!!
