Came in with my wife. Some lad asked us to follow him. Seconds later we were stopped by some rude black guy who seems to be too comfortable to work there. With full rudeness asked as to return back to the front door and scan...code and wait until HE will invite as in. We had to leave this place and will never come back. Horse pub!More

Booked this gaff up two weeks in advance as they had a Hogtoberfest on with live entertainment. I heard back very quickly to confirm the booking so green meant go. We decided to give the place another chance having been the week before and ordered...two drinks through the app and waited for 20 minutes before they came - this was in an empty pub. Literally empty! Alarm bells should’ve rung at that point. However, we kept our booking after this experience as newbies to the area this decade (used to frequent this gaff many years ago and it had a pool table in my younger years - was pretty decent!) A second chance we gave it and along we came and they couldn’t find our booking. It wasn’t written on their sheet and I had to show my email exchange to prove it. A lot of debate behind the scenes took place and we were sat at a tiny table in the corner by the door with a constant cold breeze in the cheap seats. Obviously it was a case of fitting a square peg in a round hole. The manager who took my booking was working, but didn’t come to us at this point to apologise. We persevered for a bit and the entertainment came on in a different wing of the bar. Our table was so ensconced away from the band we couldn’t see and it sounded like the singers were singing through a mask. You can see from the photos how isolated we were! We couldn’t make out a single song they sang. The table we were dumped at wasn’t fit for purpose for any custom and is akin to when Wetherspoons class a table for one as a stool at a fruit machine. At least you get flashing lights as entertainment that way and don’t have to pay nigh on £6 for a pint! We had ordered the schnitzel and bratwurst as part of the themed night. It took a while to arrive, but to be fair it was quite tasty. At this point I did request whether we could be sat at a more opportune spot for the music. There was much deliberation and we offered a seat right in front of the band. It seemed to be too good to be true and it was on the mandate we’d be swapping tables with a group of three. This wasn’t really fair as I explained to the manager the table we were on wasn’t for for purpose and to move other people there wouldn’t be fair. Especially moving two people to a prime spot at the expense of three. It would’ve been nice if the manager had spoken to us on arrival as he took the booking and didn’t log it and it took a further complaint for this to happen. We ended up at deadlock as I didn’t feel it fair to move tables and for someone else to take ours as it did make for a disappointing evening being sat in isolation for the time we were. The manager did seem to know most tables, so perhaps you have to be a regular here to get a good spot and I dare say it seemed he was asking his friends to move to relocate us. A couple of tables were quite unruly shouting continuously and banging their glasses and downing drinks and whatnot such as a group of young ladies not too far away. Sadly these days fun is banned and in a time where you have to wear a mask whenever you’re on your feet this felt a bit inappropriate. Not only that it further drowned out the faint hope of listening to the entertainment we had. To be fair the manager chap offered free drinks or a refund for a round, but in these times all we wanted was a nice evening and some entertainment and it wasn’t about the money. We asked if he could arrange a table at The Anglers down the road for us to try and salvage our evening, which wouldn’t inconvenience anyone else at The Hogarth. He kindly obliged which was good of him. However, to lose our booking at no fault of our own, setup a table in no man’s land and to preference tables to regulars near the entertainment it would was far from ideal. A table with no view or sound of live entertainment the venue promised is taking the you know what as even the manager chap somewhat agreed it wasn’t appropriate. When you couple that with the 20 minute wait for drinks on the previous visit in an empty pub, there’s not much left good to say. Again the manager chap was helpful to try and resolve the issues, but there was too much work to do to turn things around. If you want a nice evening and some entertainment maybe try The Berrylands on comedy night or Waggon and Horses on quiz night. The Anglers was good too once we visited afterwards and was very polished and less chaotic- definitely the jewel in the Teddington Fuller’s portfolio.More

What a little gem this place is, great service and fantastic food. Hubby said its the best burger and chips he's ever had, that's praise indeed. If we are ever in the area again we will be returning, thank you

Amazing food with great value for money and a lovely atmosphere 😍 I had only had the pork belly before but this time I was super hungry and got a few things to eat over time. The calamari is some of the best I’ve had...in years, and the pork belly is amazing! It was lovely to enjoy poutine in the uk too! The mini toad in the hole is super cute and tasty! Highly recommend any of the food.More

The Hogarth has always been a great pub... imo it has improved since lockdown though. I've visited at least half a dozen times in the 2 weeks since this place has been reopened and they're doing a great job dealing with the new norm. Now...the most important thing to note here is how different the staff seem... Hayden, the guy who served me today was an absolute dream from start to finish! I took great pleasure in watching him bounce around the pub, seemingly effortlessly but clearly with a lot of new found pressures. I watched him training a new team member last week too and I almost applied for a job as he was so lovely and supportive! It scares me to think how many pubs might close due to the curse of 2020 but with staff like this, The Hogarth will continue to be the place to go in Teddington. I've not tried the food yet but the Guinness is top notch so I'm sure the burgers I saw today were as tasty as they look... I'll order one next time and share my thoughtsMore

Haydon is the most amazing barman! He has the most bubbly fun personality ever!! I usually just come in for a quiet drink after work but whenever Haydon is working it becomes so much more than that!!! He’s such a credit to the company!!!!! ☺️❤️

Recently just relocated to the area. Tried a few pubs round about to try and get to know people. As you’d expect, a lot of them were your typical old mans pubs and weren’t very welcoming. Finally I found my way to the Hogarth and...everyone in the place could not have been nicer. The staff are amazing and the regular punters are more than happy to buy a pint and share stories. It’s a pub for all ages and everyone loves a good sing song, none more so than the staff and especially the bar manager Haydon. He never fails to brighten up your day and always finds the time to come catch up. If you’re around the area and looking for somewhere to spend your evening, I’d highly recommend visiting. The food is brilliant and definitely value for money. Not to mention the events held every few weeks. It’s the perfect place to meet new people, have a great laugh or even just sit and enjoy the atmosphere.More

I would highly recommend the hogarth in teddington. Unlike most pubs in the area, there is always a friendly atmosphere with lots of activities throughout the week. The staff at the hogarth are always cheery and sociable. Gabby is always a delight and will keep...your spirit high! My advice is to get down there and get a drink in yaMore
