We just finished an excellent Sunday lunch at the Angler! Amazing customer service during a difficult time of COVID lockdown. Great waitress and the manager was particularly good! Food was v tasty! Well done!

Had a very pleasant lunch here. Food and service were both very good. They’ve clearly gone to great lengths to make it Covid secure. The one way system threw me a bit at first but I got the hang of it. I would definitely eat...there again.More

What better way to spend a leisurely afternoon than to have a walk along the River Thames at Teddington and then complete the calm enjoyment with a lunch at a welcoming pub. The Anglers is one such pub with friendly staff who know the area...and have the time to talk to you about the history of the former Teddington Studios next door, recently demolished. The Anglers has a history area dedicated to that history. The delicious food which was well prepared and presented, arrived in good time with a smile. Other diners were equally satisfied. All Covid rules were adhered to and the pub was well set out and signposted. There are other pubs nearby but my suggestion would be to make a bee-line to The Anglers.More

Treated with utter contempt and indifference as we attempted to celebrate a family birthday. Booked weeks ago but left to try and find somewhere else to eat. As it happened we did and it was excellent. No thanks to The Anglers! Shameful!😔👎More

We would dearly love to be able to host groups of 12, but unfortunately the UK government has told us that we cannot do so. Even if customers want to insist and argue with us that they should be able to. When you book 2...More

After a pretty disappointing evening at The Hogarth we popped here at short notice and nabbed a table inside after the aforementioned venue manager twisted their arm to accommodate us. The chap who greeted us at the door was very friendly and reminded us of...the new rigmarole of wearing masks when in our feet before we came in. We almost forgot the new ruling as a matter of course, but that’s just the game now! We visited for drinks only and the waitress took out order quickly and the drinks were equally as prompt. Ideal in this day and age where your drinking hours are limited. The pub has had a great refit since my last visit during the 2018 World Cup and is pretty impressive with USB plugs and really good decor hailing to the Thames surroundings. Sadly everyone was forced to leave by 10 as per the new rules and regs. A nice touch was the staff offering plastic cups to take unfinished drinks away. Looking forward to going back when it’s warmer and take in the river - sadly that’s probably months away. This gaff were very good in light of the new rules sprung upon them at short notice and can’t fault the staff. Will return soon I’m sure!More

We were impressed by the friendly and efficient service from the staff (The Crew) . On a warm Saturday evening we decided to sit outside in the Beer Garden by the side of the Thames. Drinks were promptly delivered but slightly costly. The main courses...were excellent, particularly the Grilled Lemon Sole, Blackened Salmon Steak, and the Burgers. The desserts chosen were very good...Lemon Tart with Raspberry Sorbet, Chocolate Bownie, and Eton Mess. Despite the fact that the pub/restaurant was crowded The Crew brought all courses and cleared the table efficiently, but did not rush our meals. Please note that a 12.5% Service Charge is automatically added to your total bill .....some reviewers have adversely commented on this. I normally leave a 10% tip if meals and sevice has been good...it was here....and gave an enjoyable evening to the family before the 6 limit lock down.More

We stopped here for lunch during a walk along the Thames path. We sat in the outside garden. Registration took a few seconds, starting with scanning a QR code with the phone. There was a one way system and signposting to ensure social distancing and...everything was immaculately clean. We had the Meze sharer and London Pride. Both were well presented and conveyed to the table by friendly and helpful staff. They earned their tip. We sat next to the river and watched the comings and goings on Teddington Lock. A really memorable experience which we hope to repeat.More

This pub has a beautiful riverside setting but watch your bill. T bone steak was £25 on the menu but was charged at £30. Plus 12.5% service. Plus service charge on drinks. It wasnt the only discrepancy between the menu and the bill. Intrusive piped...music too.More

What a rip off. I’m used to having to be served at table because of social distancing and normally don’t mind 12.5% for eating. But £12 on £92 basic bill for drinks only - and slow service at that! Fullers ripping customers off. Boycotting Fullers...from now as a CAMRA member!More

We love The Anglers - great atmosphere, food and staff. Over the last few months enjoyed an outstanding Sunday lunch (takeaway in lockdown), a sea bass dinner and a burger. All cooked to perfection. Staff could not be more helpful, the location next to the...river is great and it feels really safe in terms of the protection they’ve put in place in regards to Covid. Our dog is also made to feel welcome. Can’t recommend enough.More
