Some people, on dining at a Michelin Starred restaurant (and Waterside Inn has been awarded THREE MICHELIN STARS ever year for decades) seem to always order the type of dishes such as Fois gras or lobster that are way more expensive in lesser establishments. At Waterside Inn, ever dish is exquisite and all prices are similar.....are some customers trying to... More

Me and my husband went to the restaurant in September for my husband's birthday celebration. The day was perfect: warm and sunny :) We went for Le Menu Exceptionnel and the food was amazing. Especially interesting was (to my surprise) pheasant veloute soup - it was a very rich and tasty one but you can't have it much. For our... More

Four of us had dinner here. Service was impeccable. Fois gras was beautiful. Terrine was average. However that is where the pleasure ended. The lobster was drowned in a ginger sauce that was tedious to eat. One of our party ordered the lobster as a main course and asked for the ginger on the side. The lobster was literally in... More

We had the tasting menu. While desserts were good, not great, the rest was forgettable. Foie gras was not bad though. Service was great, that's to be expected.

One of my favourite restaurants not in England, but the world. The entire experience is one of forgetting the world and entering a place of calm and delight. A wine list to die for, cuisine which is perfect and the most romantic setting a person could ask for with impeccable service.

I visited the Waterside Inn on Saturday lunchtime and I was expecting a lot given the restaurant has held 3 Michelin stars for over 30 years. I really enjoyed the classic French food without being blown away by the food. The service was impeccable and the view over the river was great. We had 4 canapés, a welsh rarebit with... More

3 stars for the food but especially the service. They were very on the ball and very attentive with out being intrusive. I like the fact you were not allowed to use your phone or camera at the table and although I struggle at first as I love a food porn photo for Facebook or to Google info while discussing... More

Bray is a village near home and has two Michelin 3 Stars out of the four in the UK, We celebrated my wife's birthday two years ago there for a dinner. I can't remember what we had, but as a special occasion, we enjoyed it. As for food, we didn't particularly like whatever we had, and the usual Michelin complimentary... More

The dining room seemed more modern and welcoming, and we were happy to find ourselves at a table with a good view of the river without being right next to the window. The staff seemed brighter and more professional than on our previous visit, and all was set for a three-star meal. Our tasting menu was indeed the epitome of... More
